Hi, I have 2 - 5 month old kittens. This issue is only effecting the boy (Booda). He's a Russian Blue mix. He's very sweet and seems healthy, but for the past few weeks I've been noticing one or two random dried up pellets of poop around the house. Then, this week it turned into 20/day! I often see them either coming out of him or hanging onto his fur. He still uses the litterbox regularly and does not seem to even notice he's leaving these behind. The poops are starting to look more like soft diarrhea and are leaving marks around my house. I tried giving him a teeny bit of metamucil, but was told that might be worse for him. Any suggestions? I'm tired of stepping on pellets!
THANK YOU!

I would really examine what you are feeding him and slowly switch to a better food. I would also start giving him about a teaspoon of canned pumpkin a day to introduce fiber, either that or some mashed cooked green beans, or a small amount of organic catnip

I would also trim the hair around his bottom to keep the "pellets" from having any thing on which to stick.

Better food means that there are fewer grains and more meat products (not meat by-products)in the food.

I hope this helps!
