Okay, so it's a rainy, gloomy day here and the three of us (me and the two kitties) have been having a quiet afternoon. I've been working on the computer, they've been napping. Well, a few minutes ago they both jumped up out of the kitty bed like someone threw a fire cracker at them and stood staring I think out of the window--or it could have been into the radiator, it's hard to tell the angle. I didn't hear or see anything strange--I thought maybe a bird had landed on the air conditioner, but nope. And when I said, "What's the matter guys?" Nedicks ran and hid under the coffee table and Nathan ran over to me and started circling my ankles. Now he's up on top of my monitor--it was like he didn't want me to leave him alone, and Nedicks has moved to sit a few feet behind my chair! It makes me nervous when they do stuff like that, like they're seeing ghosties or something!

I wish she wouldn't!.
Yeah, it's kind of like that. It makes you think they're hearing some approaching danger you're not aware of...
Or else a mouse in the house!

"The problem with cats is that they get the same exact look whether they see a moth or an ax-murderer"

Don't remember who said it, but it does seem pertinent here

Hey, you two little monsters! Quit scaring Mum!

Maybe there was a 'visiting' dog or cat by the window - or some sort of other animal that got too close to their home?

Not that I'm happy it happened, but once my elderly cat went deaf, she stopped doing things like that. Who knew there would be a benefit?
