Eric asked me if I wanted Glowbug's kitty down in Olympia, for those of you who hang out at times on the S.O.S. Board.

She is a Coon/Tabby mix and looks like Freddie in her face, and SiSi on her body. That is why I have a hard time letting this one go with fingers crossed as I usually do when I hear such stories of abandonment.
I need to talk to Sasha and if Mayree (Glowbug) canot possibly keep her -- I am hoping she actually can keep her -- then I will take this little miss and give her a fantastic life. I will spend some time with Sasha tonight to further see where his head is....
I also need to find a spot for Eric's stepmom's kitty who is 10+ with a bad spraying issue, that's on the Behavior Board, but this little one is in such great need. Mayree has already taken her to the vet and she is FeLV and FIP free, has her shots, has been de-wormed, cared for, bathed and cleaned. Glowbug should be so commended for that and that's not cheap at the vets. She said she is starting to show signs of some happiness too.

I am a bit nervous! I am setting myself up to be in love again and after all I feel I've lost with SiSi and Freddie, like anybody else, I have huge fears of loss. Isn't that ironic? And it's me who tells everyone that what nature provides is never finite, no matter what.

Thank you (Mrs!) Denise!! I know you know my internal struggles and anger over what is happening with Boots on the other Board. I hope I can make the right choice. I hope and pray I know what I'm doing.....

Oh Rigel, it's true!! I do want to do noble things, not that anyone has to feel that I, myself, am noble -- very few would agree
but that I am having a hrd time turning my back on this little girl, just 5 lbs., and I so much want Sasha to agree. I don't do stuff like this on impulse.... I try to think it through, look at all the angles.... and then, I will indeed act. That I'm this far along tells me something already.
It's been over a year since Freddie and he's come out of his shell so very much being "the only one" so I do want it to work. I hope my lovely kitty makes and agreement with me too!!!
I am asking Sasha to adjust, once again. He moved to a new house after living in a perfect house for 10 years; he lost his mama SiSi, then he lost his beloved little brother Freddie, then he got mauled by the coyote, and now -- now I am asking something of him again.
And I need to get past my deep, overwhelming, over-protective fears of another loss, too!!

Well... The funny thing is that it's always easier to give advice, then to take our own... I know that the right thing will happen.

You have it in you to love another cat.... will Sasha let it happen though?

Have a good talk, you two -- you'll work it out, and whatever you decide will be right.

I just received confirmation from Mayree (Glowbug) tonight that she is mine. She is tabby/coon mix and has Freddie's face right down to the bronze nose, although Freddie was a brown-eyed tabby, and she has SiSi's tortie colorings all in her body. Sasha said it was ok. He is fine with it.

We have just under 3,000 sq/ft in the house and I know there is plenty of room to house her. She will have SiSi's room, next to Sasha's, the one with all the orchids. I will get acquainted with her Saturday in Rochester, Washington. Eric said it was my other birthday present and I am so grateful to him.... he is so supportive and comforting when I get all emotional over kitties that have no homes.
I will post photos of her and have to think of a name when I get to know her a little!
(sorry, I like the bunnies. Freddie used to chase brush bunnies out here all the time).

Darn! You mean I can't have her?
I can't think of a better caretaker than you and Eric E! I am thrilled you are taking this little girl and I know that Sasha will be fine with it-

NO. Anyway, you have enough to do! Prowler was my muse for this, thank you very much. We need all the encouragement we can get. We have had so much loss and what better way to turn it all around. This is the photo Glowbug sent for her "Please Don't Abandon Me" flyers I made. Can you feel her strength?? She was half-starved, malnourished and abandoned. She has no abuse issues, just timid and shy. She somehow made her way to Glowbugs. All her tests came back 100% a-ok,
and she's just barely 5 lbs., just under a year about 11 months. Glowbug needs to be so commended for her work here, the money and time she spent saving her. I sense she is very special, surviving all winter up here!

Her face reminds me a bit of my wolfish looking Ophelia, and I love the color you described her as being - she sounds like a torbie, and I love torbie's

Congratulations
