Hi everyone

Not sure if this is in the correct forum, so please forgive me if it isn't.

I'm getting fed up with interlopers coming in overnight and beating up my sweet little shy (but now understandably neurotic) tortie, Pepper Bean. We have a standard 4-way locking cat flap which has now got gummed up and is permanently open. I've used a magnetically-triggered cat flap in the past to prevent trespassers but they don't open quick enough, especially when your cat's in a panic, being chased or whatever, and they need to get in FAST. I was wondering if anyone had used the new Staywell Infra Red cat flaps and, if so, what they thought of them? Mostly, I need to know how quickly they operate. Many thanks!

Two of my cats go out, but I have never used cat flaps. The cats have their own human servant to let them in and out each time they desire
and they run up the posts to the second floor deck if they are being pursued. They aren't allowed out at night.
