I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for being so supportive over the past 24 hours.
When I stumbled across this site I was frantically looking for advice regarding constipated kittens. I had no idea that within minutes I would receive not just wonderful advice but true concern and support from total strangers!
The babies are doing really well. I took them to a girlfriends tonight hoping that the stray queen she has been befriending may 'adopt' the kittens. Unfortunately she did not. Coco is still incredibly nervous and although she watched the babies intently she was too flighty to really get close to them. I guess this means I won't be getting much sleep over the next few weeks!!
Honestly, I really don't mind. On the way to see Coco we stopped at McDonalds (of all places) as my god daughter who came with us for the drive had not eaten. Whilst we were waiting in the drive through I absent mindedly started stroking the top of the kitten bed. My friend (and taxi driver) Kelly looked at me in her all knowing way and I burst into tears. Later after Coco had ran for the hills, I commented on taking the kittens home and quietly looked at Kell with a huge grin on my face! She couldn't help but laugh, loudly! She knows what a hopeless sook I am when it comes to my babies.
Needless to say I will most probably be spending a lot of time on The Cat Site from now on. As I write this I can hear a couple of little voices crying for food, I had better go and prepare the main course.
Thank you again to everyone for your friendship and support, it has meant the world to me and to the babies.

Speaking of babies, I had better go and feed the kittens. Speak to you soon.

You are so sweet, thank you! I am worried though, I would still like to find a fluffly bum mum for them. My bums just not that fluffy!
I'll let you know how I go with them. Just about to feed them now then I'm going to try and get some sleep. Sleep......I remember sleep.
Take care my love and I will speak to you very soon.

I sure will be sharing their progress. Thanks for the warm welcome.
By the way, I still haven't named these little angels. Any ideas? They were born in a pile of straw that was then delivered to the grain store where I found them. My little girl is gorgous! She is really fluffy (should grow up to be a mid hair) grey and white and really chubby! Little man is tiny! He is a black and white short hair. Let me know if you have any ideas. Look forward to hearing any suggestions.

It is advisable when trying to get another momcat to accept foreign babies, to rub her down with a towel, then rub each kitten, then rub the mom again. You can also put vanilla extract under mom's nose to neutralize her scent when she sniffs the newbies-

Glad they are going to be okay-

Hi everyone,
Just thought that you would like to know that my little angels have a new mum. I rang my old vet today and spoke to a lovely woman who fosters orphans. She told me that she has a nursing queen at the moment who is the most loving and accepting of all queens. Sounds wonderful!
Part of me feels like I'm losing my children (I'm sure the other 4 would love to hear that!!) but I am so happy that they will have the comfort and love only a mum can give. I have to do what is best for them.
And finally.......we had bowel movements!!!! Yay!!!!! They are doing really well. I feel like a proud mum, well I suppose I am a proud mum!
Thank you again everyone for all of your support, I don't know exactly how I would have gotten through this without you all. If I can ever return the favour please let me know.
