As it was happening I assume. I have these pictures and maybe one or two more, as well as an article that would probably go in the IMO Forum but I'm hesitant to post it cause the Mods may remove it, since it mentions things some people may be offended by.
Sorry but www.snopes.com has already said that those pictures are from 2002...

Yes they are old photos, but just as terrifying as the ones from the tsunami...

I stand corrected. My sister emailed them to me and I didn't do any homework and just thought to post those pics. Maybe I'll delete them. Thanks for backing me up with your knowledge.
I got these sent to me in an email. I wondered how real they were because I hadn't seen them on the news.
