I just got an email, seems the land I own in Russia
They have struck oil on it! But in order for them to pay me a large dividend they need my ssn, my bank account # and my PIN number-

I'll give them a C- for creativity on this one!

Haha. I get those all the time. I've won millions in the lottery and have also been asked to help the widow of Prince such and such from some foreign land transfer money. For which I will get a nice percent if it goes successfully.

I wonder if there have been people to actually respond to these?

My dad almost did! He called me once and asked me if I had his account # for this particular bank. I asked him why and fortunately I stopped him before it was too late.

Mary Anne.....I get those all the time too. I suppose there are a few naive people out there who will respond to these types of emails and it's really a shame that innocent people are being ripped off like that.

At least they tried to put a new spin on it. A friend of mine almost fell for it...he was even to the point of talking to them on the phone! Fortunately he mentioned it to me, and I was able to stop him!
