Bobber and now Bakker fart when they are happy, content. etc.... Is this only me or anyone else?? Its not noisy but silent and deadly if you get my drift!!
While 10 week old Bella hasn't done this yet that I know of... My 9 week old baby, Darcy, does this ALL the time! And always when she's laying in my arms on her back with her butt pointed right at me.
She's either purring and content, or sound asleep. They are silent... but sheeeeeeeesh I swear this 1.5 lb baby farts worse than my 250lb ex husband!!
I've never really heard mine, but on the 'very odd occasion' i have smelled something coming from Sophie if she's been asleep on my lap at which point i'll say " Sophie have you fluffed?!"
Just wanted to add that Baylee does it when she's scared also (she did it in the carrier on the way to the vet and I thought she'd had an accident) and when she's mad (like when she doesn't want to be carried)!
Well look Sophies is a black and white cat too!! Her face and Baker's face look almost identical!! Bobber is a tortie. Maybe it happens with only certain color combinations!!
Meggie farts! Oooooweee! There is no rhyme or reason as to when she does it. You know though - boy do you know! I know even if I didn't see her in the room. She is a black and white kitty. We have a common thread here - STAY AWAY FROM BLACK AND WHITE KITTIES! Or maybe it's just young cats?
Oh no. I just thought my two eight month old torties were reacting to changes in their food -- both Kelsey and Savannah earn the nickname "Stinky" at least three times a week. But you're right -- it seems to be when they're happy or content. The lay down next to me to be petted, then "it" happens -- a real joy at three in the morning...
