Ack! All the stores by me are already filled with Valentine's Day merchandise! I haven't even taken down my Christmas tree yet! Can't we just have one holiday at a time? This is ridiculous!

Actually, on January 3rd I saw them stocking the "seasonal" shelves at one of the chain drugstores with V-day stuff, and at this point all the stores are in on it. Frankly, I wouldn't WANT anyone giving me candy on Valentine's Day that they bought this early--it'd be way stale!

I love to see valentines day stuff out in stores, I don't know why.. Well my bday is 2 days before it so maybe i just have positive connotations formed from a young age or something hehe.. But I wish they would have v day stuff out all year because it makes me so happy

Really?!! I can't belive how quickly they get things onto the shelves!! I remember last year, they had Hallowe'en things out in August!! Plus Christmas things at the end of October????!!! It just seems so silly!!

I will let you all know if they have got the Valentine's stuff at Asda Walmart when I get back!! No doubt they will have!!

I know it's better to spread the cost, but this far ahead!! I agree that candy would be a bit gross after so much time!!

On New Year's Eve my boyfriend and I were out buying champagne and they already had Valentine's stuff out!

But I love Valentine's Day... everything is pink (or red)... there are so many cute mugs and towels and stuff that I NEED... great tasting candy and chocolates... wow I'm kind of a nerd!

I noticed the Valentine's displays last night at the store, too! Wow, and I'm not over Christmas yet! Next week, they'll probably be putting out the items for Easter and the 4rth of July!

I noticed at walmart last night the entire valentine isle, It does seem quick but I am not too bothered. It makes me happy,, I love V-day,,, although I do not know why seeing as my boyfriend is possibly the most unromantic guy!!! ... Could be cause my bday is the week before and I just love the month anyways!!!

Movin' on up!
I'd better hurry up and finish my birthday/Christmas candy, to make room for the Valentine's goodies!

Oh my, my city must be left way back in time

Our stores still have their Christmas stuff on sale, no sign of Valentines just yet

I don't know but, what a way to rub it in to those that DON'T want Valentines to come... and to make people spend spend spend~

In a state of insanity :)
The Walmart here had Valentines
stuff going up on one side of the aisle and the Christmas Candy 50% on the other. This was not to long after christmas but I noticed all the Christmas stuff is about gone now.

Is anyone in retail? Why do they speed seasons and holidays up?
They are already selling summer clothes in Wal-Mart too!

like Sam said - we still have christmas stuff on sale and i dont believe I have seen any valentines day things out yet...

I personally dont like valentines day and we dont celebrate it (although I did when I was younger) To me its too commercial and just another excuse for us to spend more money. I believe its much better to give my DH something when he does not expect it

Ok Stefanie I agree with you - but Valentine's stuff I could handle coz I want to get Rune something nice before I go out to see him on the 11th Feb - but when our supermarket opened again after the Christmas and New year, the shelves were stacked with Easter Eggs!!! See, unless I'm missing a couple of months somewhere, Easter isn't until what March? April? Now THAT is crazy!
