When can I come and visit?

ooh Ari - she just LOVES visitors! My daughter was 18 a couple of weeks ago - that's coming of age here and the big party night as birthdays go - it means you can legally go to the pub and buy a drinkOriginally Posted by pinkdaisy226

In terms of cost I think it depends what you want the cat for - clearly much more expensive if it's to breed than just as a pet. Lily's father was imported from the States and the breeder was telling us it's about £6000 to bring one over (about $11,000). Lily is most definitely not going to be bred - we agreed with the breeder that she would be spayed. We may show her though - we haven't decided yet - we've never done anything like that before. But Lily's "sister" (same pedigree, different litter) was Best of Show at some big UK cat show (I've never really followed them so I don't know much about which one it was), and the breeder is hoping that we'll show Lily as well - she says that Lily is at least as good as her sister.Originally Posted by HopeHacker
I looked her breed up on the net, and they have a very interesting history. They were like wild street cats in Singapore. It said that the autorities treated them as vermin (which I can't understand at all), and that they had basically destroyed the entire breed, excpet for 2 from the same litter, plus one from another litter, and that the entire breed today is decended from just those three cats. Even though the breed as we know it today, comes from the US, it was really hard for me to find a breeder in the US, but miracle of miracle's, I found one, right here in the Los Angeles Area. It was actually the only US breeder I could find. Now, I have a feeling these precious little cuties are really expensive. The breeder didn't list prices. It looks like I'm going to be saving some money, because I'm as obssessed with getting a Singapura, as I was with getting a Bengal. I got my Bengal Simba 1 1/2 years ago.
Addie's home and she's fine. She was spayed - again!!!! The vet made a little incision (she's only got one stitch) as it was thought possible she could have been done previously - and she had been. So poor Addie went through all the trauma of being bundled into the carrier and she had no bits to take away. She was microchipped though whilst she was there.Originally Posted by captiva

I saw your Simba on the page with the pictures of Bengals - he's simply gorgeous. I know my daughter would melt if she saw him - she loves cats with markings like his.Originally Posted by HopeHacker
God, I'm so in love. She looks like a little pixie. I just can't get over how adorable she is. In one way she reminds me of my Bengal Simba, because he also has huge eyes, but he doesn't have that little tiny pixie face to go along with it. She is just simply the cutest little creature I have ever seen in my life.
Do you remember those Big eyed pictures from the 80's? She also kind of reminds me of those pictures also. I absolutely HAVE GOT to get a Singapura.
