As promised here is my little baby. 16 weeks old and absolutely adorable. Her name is Pawra Lili'a nani which means Beautiful Lily and she will be known as Lily. She is a Singapura and has made her presence know already. She took all of 20 minutes to get herself acclimatised to her new home - and explored every inch of the living room in no time- end to end and top to bottom
. Not only that, but she found the Christmas tree in seconds and has now acquired a couple of soft decorations to play with (my gran knitted them so they're nice and safe for her) and she has also found the toilet paper - managing to unload the roll in the cloakroom in record time. She's helping me type this at the moment - she's very inquisitive and spent last night sleeping on my head in bed! None of our other cats have shown any interest in sharing our sleeping space.

Well enough of me rabbiting on - can't you tell she's stolen my heart (they all do, it doesn't take long
) here are some pictures

Here she is: she's so tiny

One of her exploring the living room

Hubby's got some more on his camera - when I've downloaded them, I'll let you have some more.

I had never heard of this breed until a friend that I work with told me her sister got one and told me all about it. She's a beauty!

Here is the MIGHTY Lily. She's 18 weeks now and a hefty 3.5 pounds! That's just about spot on her for age - the fully grown females get to between 4 and 6 pounds. Here are some piccies of her playing today:

Really Lily - a little modesty please :

She's very sociable and runs to meet anyone - here she is kissing Daddy through the window - her back's arched as she spotted him and ran clear across the living room, leapt onto the sill and skidded to a halt just before the window!

Beth,

She's just precious!!! I can't believe how tiny they are. I would be scared to death I'd break her. But you have to remember I'm used to a bunch of chubettes at my household. George lost a couple more ounces today - He weighs 24 lbs now.

Aww thanks Chris - her size is a real issue because the normal rules just can't be followed.

She's too small for the last stage of her vaccinations. So she's had cat flu etc but not the leukaemia bundle yet. It will be too harsh for her until she's about 8 months. As for spaying, she won't be ready until she's somewhere between 1 year/15 months old.

It was a tough choice to microchip her yesterday because she's so small. She HOWLED - I mean really howled. If it was a Dentist's surgery - the waiting room would have been clear. It took the Vet three attempts to chip her. If it hadn't gone in the third time we would have said leave it and do it when she's spayed.

Our other babies who seemed small before - seem like explosions in a fur factory now!!

Lily just loves football

She also likes to help me mark my students' work (it's ok I've taken any student details off the picture):

We're thinking that she probably should have been "Princess" Lili 'a nani - she certainly thinks she's a cut above the moggies. We didn't quite believe the breeder when she was emphatic that this teeny little bundle would decide that SHE was TOP CAT and the others were lowly moggies - but she was right!

Last one for now - I promise (I'm a bit snap-happy at the moment
)
