So we've been loyal t-mobile customers, and Johnny's been using this Nokia 6590 for a while, while i have the cooler 7210. He's been wanting a new phone like forever, but not willing to dish out the extra hundred bucks for a new one.

So i did what i had to do....call up T-mobile and ask what they can give me for free. Yes, very bold.
And you know what, without much negotiating, i was able to get him the Nokia 6800 keyboard phone for FREE!!!
Well of course i had to sign the contract for another year, which was fine by me because we weren't bound to any. And i didn't have to upgrade the plan or anything, he still has the $19.99 plan.

So woohoo!! i'm very happy that Johnny's getting a new phone finally. Just had to share hehe.

i
Nokia phones.

I have a T-mobile sidekick with internet access so if I go on a trip and I cant take the laptop cause it's not wireless.... I could still access the internet and look at TCS

Wow, way to go! And I love Nokia phones too, I've always wanted one but I've always been stuck with Sprint...

I liked T-Mobile text messaging capabilities when I was with them for a year... but I always went over on my minutes, no matter the plan!

I've become a bit disenchanted with T-Mobile this past year. I have a pay-as-you-go account (my own cell phone, bought without a contract, though my SIM card is from T-Mobile), and my in-laws have a T-Mobile pay-as-you-go cell phone. I was assured that I could use my phone (tri-band) in the U.S. (Nebraska, which has T-Mobile service), but while I was there, and in Atlanta, in August, I found I could send text messages and make/receive international calls without any trouble, but couldn't use the phone to make local calls. My in-laws were in Hungary this Fall, and all of a sudden got a message that they had to "up" their credit balance, or they wouldn't be able to make calls. Fine - but they couldn't find the "Xtra cards" anywhere in Hungary. I managed to deposit €15 to their T-Mobile account on the Internet from Germany, but when they tried to do that from Hungary and Austria, both countries where T-Mobile advertises full service, it didn't work. I really think the company misrepresents its services.

Hrm...i don't know how they advertise the pay-as-you-go plans. For my case, when i was back in Malaysia for vacation, i just bought a local pre-paid sim card over there and made my calls. Using my exisitng US sim card would be very expensive, since it would be considered international calls. Btw my 7210 is a tri-band phone too, i was able to use it both in Malaysia and Singapore without any problems, but not using t-mo service of course.

Great phone Pearly! What would you like to upgrade to?

Rigel, I am sooooooooo incredibly jealous of you with your new phone!!

I LOVE Sony Ericsson phones!! I've only got the T68i and that doesn't work well, because I dropped it in the cats' water bowl!!

Has anyone seen any cheap upgrades on eBay? (possibly the US if they will ship to the UK????!!!)

I used to have a nokia, until I went to the toilet and as i pulled my trousers down, down the loo it went
forgot it was in my back pocket

Anyway my boss said he had one I could buy for £10 to keep me going, I love it! It's a sagem myX-7, has a camera...which is brilliant, video, polyphonic ringtones, wap...it has so much and all for £10 think I got a bargain there!
I used to be on T-mobile but prefer O2, £5 for the sim and 300 free texts per month, which is what I mainly use it for.

My phone has been down the loo too!!

I'm on O2 Genie, it's cheaper and all online!! (although, I am contract) Didn't you know, we - in the UK - are notorious for our text messaging?!!! Everyone else uses their phones to actually call people!!

usually when I get a text it's ...Ash quick get online someone is swearing in the chatroom! (i'm a chatroom operator)
But I admit I very rarely use it to phone, I get free national calls so use my landline for that..but I keep getting confused with this phone, i'm used to the nokia so keep pressing wrong keys!
