For those of you who were part of the TCS vacation this summer, I have some... sad news
My most fave victorian house in town burned down today
It was one of the ones I featured in my two days of vacation. It was one of the ones that you all got to stay in

OMG... I so wanted to own that building.

I guess there were 5 or 6 appartments in that house, and that means that there are 5 or 6 families homless now. Please pray and send them positive thoughts, as well as the owners of that beautiful destroyed home

Thankyou...
I've got pictures, I'm looking for the pics I took this summer so I can post them. OMG...

I am soooo sad. I worked all day, and my boss went there and got some pics.

Those poor people, their belongings....

OMG Tia, I feel that spririt so strong.....the bones of a place are so important over time (not human bones folks, you know what I mean!) and I'm so very sorry. It must be a very shocking and empty feeling....lost...and just gone!

I went home to Maryland a couple of years ago and my childhood home had been razed to the ground and all 11 acres sold off to a huge development. It was awful.

I hope you can find your photos. I am so sorry.

Great hoppin' horny toads, Tia! To me, there's nothing worse than the destruction that a fire or tornado can leave behind as far as a building is concerned!{{HUGS}} for you, my logical friend!

Oh no! That's so sad - I never took part in the vacation thread, but wow that place is just lovely! Such a shame.

I heard that there were roofers working, finally putting a new roof on after years. I wished for a new roof on that house for so long. There were people working on the house. Maybe if they were doing a lot of renovations to the house, nobody was living there? Just a hope. Drivers said they deliver a lot of pizzas to the people who live there. I feel so bad for the owners, putting money into it, restoring it, We've lost a few of our old houses over the years.

I've heard several rumors. One girl I talked to said that it was just the top floor apartment that was gutted. One family. She also said there was a lot of water and smoke damage. The news will come out slowly, but all the work that was being put into it.

She said that nobody was hurt, and that is a very good thing. I hope that what she knew was the truth. She's working at the cop shop or something, so... perhaps?

Were there houses and everything on it? I bet that was just... yeah... I wish less land would have to be built on, but since humans multiply
lol, we need it. Our town is growing, and I'm saying " I remember when that was a huge field, and that pond wasn't there, and that high schol...." My mom always said that... yeah...

Hmmm... maybe if the rumors I heard are true the house may be saved!!

I know that the people effected will be taken care of. When ever anyone's house burns down around here, everyone hops on it, and they are usually provided with everything they need. (It's not a quaint community Grrr.) I just live around nice people... mostly.
