These past 2 or 3 years I have been longing for a Scottish Fold. Well this Christmas-- after LOTS of research-- we found a breeder that quit breeding and was adopting out to good homes! So we went down to Brazoria, a 2 hour drive, and talked to the breeder's mother (the girl went off to colledge). Her name was Shirley Little, and has written many articles online about PKD (some of her cats had it). She told us about the girl we were interested in (Sweetie), and it turned out she has won some ribbons in show, and tested negative for PKD. So anyway, we adopted her and her name fits her VERY well! So her name is Sweetie, and she is a black and white longhair two year old! If you want to see her, go to www.c-gemz.com . She is at the bottom of the web page.

Awww Sweetie!

She is gorgeous! She sounds - from the description and yours - that she certainly will live up to her name!!

Welsome to TCS, by the way, and congratulations on your new addition to your family!

thank you! MRSD, the first Scottish Fold (Susie) was a barn cat in Scotland, and it all started w/ a birth defect. Now, Scottish Folds are in the top ten most popular breeds in America!

OOOh she is gorgeous!

I love Folds, for obvious reasons...since they are the only other non-straight eared breed of cat besides Curls

Ah, interesting. I'll do a little investigating on this breed. Thank you.
