I'd started a thread before with my little helpers checking out whether I was appropriately following my plan as I laid out a quilt on the floor. But like many others, that thread disappeared in the crash. Here are two recent photos of my furbabies, though. Purdy, like a good soul, just watched me check out that border from an observation point off the quilt.

Sheba, though she is usually good about going around instead of walking on the quilt, decides to cut a few corners.

If anyone else has images with cats and quilts (finished or not), please post them.

I love Sheba's look when she's walking over the quilt, lol, very "yeah, and?".

And Purdy looks so lovely just sitting there!

Oh, I love the one with the cats checking out that machine applique! I had some patchwork on the machine a week or so ago while I walked across the room and Sheba jumped up on the sewing chair with her little paws up on the sewing cabinet like she was ready to sew. It was soooooo cute! But I just wasn't fast enough in grabbing the camera to get a photo. Of course, it will probably never happen again when I do have the camera handy, either.

while i don't make quilts, i like them & have them in my house. here's some pics:
Pixel, on my bed

Mouse on a 'cat quilt' i bought from place online. that's also where their donut beds came from.

Cable on a 'cat quilt'

the 'cat quilts' all have cat themed fabrics, as do the beds. unfortunately, the website is no longer there!

Oh, isn't that one fun! I like the block, too. I'm assuming it is pieced, not appliqued. How is it constructed? I can't quite see where the seams are. Do you have a close-up photo of a block, by chance? It looks like an easy enough block that I could even use for my charity quilts.

Yup, I made it, well, actually, I made blocks of it, then swapped with others so we all had lots of different colored kitties. But, I have two words for this one, NEVER AGAIN ! I love it, and love the kits, but that flannel drives me nutsy sewing it. As a matter of fact, that picture is just the blocks laid out so I could see them all, the quilt itself has never been put together

you could make it with just cotton calico, couldn't you? that'd be easier, i bet - i wouldn't know 'cause i've never made one. i did find a cat-themed quilt online yesterday, & ordered it - i'll add a pic when it arrives!

Two of my furbabies nap close together on one of my quilts.

I have an 18x60 inch pressing table in my sewing room, but since it is nicely padded and with a great view of the bird feeders, my cats have tried to claim it as their very own. To avoid getting cat hair all over the items I am making, I made a special quilt for the pressing table, which is just for them. Though they almost never nap this close together, I caught both of them on the table taking a snooze tonight while I sewed. And yes, I ended up using the ironing board to do my pressing. I just didn't have the heart to wake them.
