What is the appropriate dosage of clavamox for a cat?
It depends on weight and what is wrong. Consult a vet.

I dont know what a "droperfull" is, but the usual dose for adults cats is 62.5mg 2x a day with food, half that for kittens but it IS weight dependant, and if your vet prescribed it, then he should also give you dosage info.

That depends on the concentration of the drug and the size of the cat. Please consult your vet about this matter!

That would depend on the size of the dropper, the size of your cat, (or dog), the health of your cat, (or dog), the situation that you're trying to treat.

You should only get medication, in particular antibiotics from a vet after a consultation.

Otherwise you are putting your pet at risk!

Has Hoshi seen a vet yet?

Unless you are a vet, please don't diagnose your cat yourself or treat it with anything, especially if you don't know what dosage to use.

There are certainly instances where you can make your pet more comfortable while you are waiting to see a vet, but do not administer over-the-counter medications for serious issues.

I agree with what others have stated. and I have to say it depends on the dropper full. the dropper that came with my clavamox..i dont even give 1/4 of to my kitties. little callie gets 1/2cc twice, and ares 1cc twice days.

my cat is about 15 lbs, 2 years old. he is on it for a UTI and was told to give him 1 pill twice a day. don't know what a dropper is, but his are pills.

ya dont give ur cat anything without vet instructions, my kitten is on clavamox and is being given .25cc every 12 hours for a minor uri.

If my cats needed Clamox for some reason my vet clinic uses pills. I've had both the 62.5 and 125 doses depending on age. THis is something they determine. And like humans they need to take all the doses prescribed. No "saving" any for emergencies.
