Okay if you're eating, don't keep reading this. This is a disgusting question. As I've mentioned on here before, Nedicks is a puker. Thanks to suggestions on this board though, she does it less now, because I've mostly gotten her to stop wolfing her food. However, on the occasions when she does vomit, her brother Nathan goes right for it and eats it. Revolting, yes, but is it dangerous for him? Obviously I try to keep him from it, but sometimes I'm in another room and Nathan gets to it before I do. Should I be concerned?

I would clean it up as quick as possible. They do this because cats are gulpers, very rarely do they chew their food. Meaning they swallow it whole, so when it comes back out, by either orifice it smells like pure protein. That is why dogs think litter pans are candy boxes, and cats try to eat their emesis.

You can help your kitty by feeding quality canned food, and if you do feed dry, put it in a small plastic bag and hammer it to break up the kibble into a fine powder- Also elevate the food dish.
