Sunday means one thing all year long at my house. A whiney and needy kitty boy. It's like he tries to get excessive loves to tide him over during the week.
It's every Sunday, without fail. He knows. Doesn't matter if I have a 3-day weekend, 4-day weekend, or if it's basically a 1 day weekend because of other plans on Saturday. Sunday comes and he whines and cries and insists on us paying attention to him all day long.

Any other kitties out there with that impeccable sense of time?

Baylee USED to be like that... at 8am on the weekends she'd go nutty, running all over the place.

However now she's started to realize that I like to sleep in on my days off... it doesn't matter if there is any food in her bowl or not, she'll sleep in as long as I do, even if it's til noon that day.

I love it!

My schedule is so erratic, Sierra just expects to be the very center of my attention at all times.
Sierra is always keenly aware, though, what I am doing when I get up, meaning, if I'm getting ready for work, for an appt, just to run errands, or the preferred, when we're just coming to be right here at the computer. She has a different routine and behavior for each situation although I generally do about the same thing whenever I'm going out with the exception of maybe what I'm needing to wear. She knows how long I'll be and whether to expect treats in her treatball. She has also awakened me on days when I had slept through my alarm to get up for work or an appt. where as other times we have both slept right through it when I had just planned to get up at a certain time. On days when we have had an appt. at the v-e-t, I can do the very same things at the very same time, and even try to think the same way, but she just knows! It usually takes a good bit of nonchalant sweet talk to prevent her from going or get her out from under, the bed.

All of our situations that we're sharing about our kitties' understanding are just minor examples of exactly how much they know!

How true!
Skinny will meow and bang on my bedroom door at 4:30 a.m. on the dot every morning. She'll stop after 2 mins.

I have fuzzy alarm clocks. If I am not up by 7:30 to feed them, they bug me until I give in, or 8:30 comes, at which point they will usually give up until I get up on my own.
If I put on shoes, Scooter will position himself at the door to try to get out past me. He knows the difference between shoes and slippers, because he does not try it if I have slippers on.

On the weekend Ebony is in my face at 7am, licking me. She normally eats when I'm on my way to work at 6:30am, and thus it should be no different on the weekends. That cat is relentless too! She'll lick and lick until I finally get out of bed. I guess I'm just too much of a pushover.
