Hi Everyone,

I am very new to these kinds of posts, but I need some advise.
I have a 1.5 yr old neutered male tabby named Smudge.

Just yesterday while petting him I felt a large (egg size) hard spot on his side, almost at the end of his ribcage. I felt the other side, and there is a similar lump, but smaller. There is no pain, while cuddling him I was able to poke, and prod it, and he didn't care. He gets more upset about me clipping his claws!

I have noticed it takes him a lot longer to eat his meals, but he does still eat the whole thing. No vomiting or runny poops yet either. He has been consitpated before, and I don't remember feeling large hard spots.
His diet has not changed, and he is an indoor cat, so I know right away when he gets into something he shouldn't.

So am I just a nervous mum?

You aren't going to rest easy until you have it checked by a vet. We certainly can't tell from here.
So take him in on Monday and have a professional tell you if it is something that is serious or not. It could be any of a number of things, some serious and some not. If he is eating, drinking, peeing and pooping it can probably wait until Monday. Let us know what you find out. Becky
