hello i need some advice me and my family live in a large apartment building, and we heard meowing for a while so my mother went to the door, and in runs a cat. its a female, tabby she has a bald spot on her back and we dont know what that is if its ring worm or something. and she also has drainage in her right eye. she is very skinny and if it is someones cat they must have neglected it. she is pretty young about the age of ozzy i would say. but we are not sure what to do with her. or what the thing on her back is or what all could be wrong with her. we are just kinda sitting here wondering what to do with her, because we cant keep her. but we are going to put up some flyers around the apartment building to see if she belongs to anyone. i will post a few pictures of her and the thing on her back in a few after i print up the flyers. can someone please help us figure out what else to do tho.

I don't know how much I can help, I too live in an apt. and can't have any more cats, I have found many cats and have had to find them homes. It might be ring worm if she has a bald spot, or fleas, or a fight with another cat, but if she is friendly enough to come into your house, she was probably thrown out. You could go to petfinder.org and click where it says shelters and look for the rescue groups in your state to find one who might take this cat in. I wish I could be more help good luck. Cat

Can you at least get her to a vet after the holidays and get her treated and possibly spayed?

i have no way to get her to a vet, if i could i would, i really wish i could too but we are really short on money right now(because we are behind on bills because of a family crisis last month).if owners dont claim her by monday we are bringing her to a no kill shelter.or if the owners dont claim her and if anyone lives in minnesota in the twin cities area and would like a young female cat or would like to find a home for her. we will be bringing her to a no kill shelter on monday if the owners dont call by then.
But we took a few pictures of her and the thing on her back if anyone knows what it is we would really like to know.

the white spot in the middle you cant tell in the pictures but it looks like a white scab kinda that is almost gone.

her eyes may not have infection because the stuff under her eyes looks like dirt and her eyes seem really clear(i kinda paniced on my last post
).

oh boy was it hard to get these pictures! She kept squirming all over the place trying to get affection

She is adorable! Does the skin around the white spot look shaved?

At the kitty's beck and call
Is it possible she could have gotten into a fight with a squirrel or animal with similar teeth. Felicity annoyed a female squirrel once and had a similar wound on her face - it very quickly healed and the fur grew back later. The squirrel's teeth seems to shave some skin to make a deep graze type wound.

He/She is adorable. Even if this kitty belonged to someone, he/she obviously doesn't get enough loving and wants to be inside. I think she looks pretty healthy just by appearance. She will make a great kitty for someone someday.

I'd say that bald spot looks like she had a tick. Most of the cat's I've seen get a little spot like that with an engorged tick. I'd vet her anyways though, good luck finding her a home.

That's great news....I would suggest to his owner that if he isn't neutered...to have him neutered. Also, they should consider having him microchipped and wear a break a way collar so that if he escapes again, it will be easy for him to be returned.

i believe he is neutered...that is why we were kinda stumped at his sex lol
...and i told his owner that he needs to get him a collar and a tag, and he said he knows he does.
