Here is a couple shots of Titsi.. the photos were severely browned with age (Apparently the early 80's-late 70's were not a kind era to photos..) She was a goddess.. I miss her dearly (and I was still a baby when she died..)

My lovely dilute tortie girl.. RIP

I had no idea what a tortie was, but all these cats in the thread look like my Leeloo! does that mean she's a tortie?? my vet just has her down as 'domestic shorthair' and no ones ever told me otherwise, I just describe her color to people as 'highlights' hehe, I'm so new to cats incase you cant tell, anyway! here's pictures of her!

thats her as a baby (8 weeks) the day I got her

here she is at four months:

and here she is at 6 months (she's 8 months now I really need to take more pictures these are my most recent):

Hi Yuna!

Leeloo is a Tortoishell[Tortie] Domestic Shorthair. Tortie is her color - which is Black, dark red and light red. She's very cute.

The cat that you can see in my signature is a Tortoishell Bicolor. Which means Tortie with white.

Hope that helps,

Sam.

Yep, Leeloo is a tortie, and a pretty one at that
! Sam, what's the difference between a Tortoishell Bicolor and a Calico...or are they one-in-the-same? I always know their colors by the "street name", but I'm not familiar with the "actual" name.

Here's my sweet Peekaboo (so named because when we brought her home she hid under my bed, only peeking out periodically... I was only two at the time, and thought she was playing 'peekaboo' with me), she was a dilute tortoiseshell, my very first cat. She was an amazing girl. She passed away a few years ago at the age of twenty. This is the only picture I have of her, I think (the days before digital cameras, sorry about the bad quality), though I think my mom may have a few more at her place in our photo albums, I'll have to ask.
