Hi, I have two kittens. One who is about 6 months and one who is almost a year. two days ago, my oldest had her first batch of kittens. for a little back ground , when the youngest (munchkin) of my two came into the picture, the oldest (Unie) was ready to slaughter her. a week later, she's cleaning her like her very own. When Unie was in labor, she wouldn't stay in the box unless Munchkin was right there beside her. even leaned on her durring contractions. Munchkin sat by and watched the entire time. and an hour after they were all here, mommy, kittens and munchkin, were sleeping in the box. Now munchkin has tried to get the kittens. Never been forceful, but I never gave her the chance to be forceful and the mommy has never really seen. but when i last checked on the kittens, there was Munchkin, in the box with Unie's kittens as one of the kittens licked her foot and as she cleaned the others. is this in anyway odd to any of you??? It's sweet, but I always found cats to be violent towards new creatures.

thanks
Sara

That is the sweetest story!!!

However, I think you'll find there are other people on this site who have similar stories of cat-cat love. Take a look at this woman's cat family:

http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho...=thomas+cooper

The first part of the thread highlights the birth and development of Thomas and Cooper but she shows the rest of her furry family members later on, and in many photos they're all snuggling with each other. It's adorable!
