Most are automatically paid from my account, otherwise yes they get paid right away.

I lost my water bill the other day so now I'm back to paying ASAP. Plus I find that if I wait to pay my bills, I feel like there's more money in my account and therefore more money to spend on stuff I don't need.

I normally pay them as soon as I get them. (Unless there isn't enough in my account
) If I don't pay them right away I tend to forget about them.

We pay them as soon as we get paid. When we can.
We do manage to stay up to date on them though.

Everything is set up on our bank draft...we just know how much we can spend on other stuff and stick to that.

For gas/electric etc.. they send out their first bill which is what i call their invoice because thats how we do it at work, then 2 weeks later a red one follows which i call their statement but it's a reminder really and people usually pay on that one.

But what i do like a lot of people is to pay a monthly fee throughout the year to the utility companies and this way i don't have to worry about getting a huge bill in the winter

Movin' on up!
My only bills are my car payment, student loan, car insurance and magazine subscriptions. My car payment is an automatic debit and I pay the loan and insurance online, on the closest payday.

Bill pays all of the household bills, on the Friday after they arrive. His ex (like mine) was always blowing the household money and he'd come home to find utilities shut off. He's compulsive about paying the bills - our mortgage is paid a month ahead.

I pay for my license plates and dog licenses, on the very last day - I paid for a full year, I want my full year!
