Sisal Rope

Someone at work suggested I put sisal rope on my banister that Rogue nearly fell off of yesterday. They think it might give her something to grip if she loses her balance. My fear is it might encourage her to jump up there. (Orange polish doesn't keep her away, and it makes the painted banister more slippery.)

Thoughts? Opinions? Pros? Cons?

Maybe you could place a cat tree near this spot to give her an acceptable spot to climb?? All cats like to be taller than their surroundings, maybe it will help.

It's a great idea, and I do have a cat tree near the spot (not too close, though because I don't want to encourage jumping). She just gets so excited, she jumps up there and well, scares the crap out of me.
