A starving, freezing girl missing fur showed up in our garage at the start of real winter, hunkered down and said "that's it, i'm staying." She is looking much healthier now after eating regularly for a month or two. She appears to be a Maine Coon Mix, beautiful ruff and tufted ears, etc., but she is little. This young female is petite, just 6 pounds with cute short legs--not a Munchkin (though that is what we call her) but kind of a "lowrider". She is a brown classic or splotched tabby with spots on her belly. She is just under a year old, vet says. She is clean and tested free of Feluke and FIP, been treated for fleas/earmites/worms and all good with that, healty vital signs and we just had her spayed. Actually 2 appeared about the same time (not associating with each other or friends or anything), and we can only keep one (on top of course of the pets we already had). She is playful and good with our very large dog and learning to handle the other cats. She is nibbly due to lack of previous love, but she never breaks skin and it is for attention. She probably won't like children if they touch too much, she won't hurt them, but it would stress her. Please contact me if you are looking for one!!! Help!! She is a cutie.

Hi there Glow,
While I can't take her right now, I didn't know which part of the state you are in. Are you eastside or west? I'm asking so I can network with others if you are reasonably close to me. Thanks~~

I am 30 minutes south of Olympia, and I guess about an hour and a half south of Maple Valley. I was up there recently and I think that is what it was. Thanks so much for your help. My digital camera has just broken and am getting a new one. I'd like to have a nice picture of her to show but don't have one yet.

Very good then. It's Friday night and I will make some flyers and post them at the kiosk at our very large Safeway here (people have noplace else to go so it's a big meeting place); the library, the four vet offices, my office, Craig's List, and any other place I can possibly think of. I will also make some phone calls. I'll send you a PM with an update this weekend, is this ok??

yes that is wonderful, thankyou!!! i will email you a picture. sorry i couldn't get on the puter this weekend. i contacted maine coon rescue, and they have accepted her as a maine coon mix and listed her as a courtesy post on petfinder, unfortunately there is no picture listed and she is listed as large, but actually she is small, so i am working on that with them. thanks again.

Mayree--
Got your photos, she's indeed gorgeous! Who would've just abandoned her?
So I sent you a response with some key questions on your yahoo -- just trying to connect with you now.

Mayree,
I want to come see her. Can I come down?

Let's keep talking about her.....I don't know if you check your yahoo all that much, but Eric said we can think about it if it's the right match! If not, I will help you find a home. Although I want you to keep her, really, I hate to move her again and she seems to like your place. PM or Yahoo me back.
Love,
Elizabeth

As I also just posted in the Lounge, Mayree you are a deeply caring spirit and a fine person. I only hope I can make her as happy and contented and healed as you have. You are to be som commended for your work with her, not to mention the time and money you have spent in bringing her from the brink....
Love,
Elizabeth
