I've always used "plain jane" covers for these things - research research on eBay (my second, or maybe third hobby (cat and birds are 1 and 2) is browsing through the sight seaching for this and that. Right now my focus is ont these utiltity covers. Somethings I think would be way too cutsiem but some I like.

What do you use as decoration around the light switches and electrical sockets?

We have a Black Cat light switch cover in the basement. Made out of resin I think.

We have stainless steel covers in dining room, kitchen, living room and hallway. The rest of them are white in the bedrooms, bathrooms, laundry etc...

Try something different - it will at some art to your home

I like to find the decorative kinds or paint them to match the walls.
I don't think I would attach anything to one, that's dangerous.

I have been thinking about a black cat one to replace the current one we inherited in the house that is in the spare beadroom (it is Mikey Mouse saying "Let there be light!" ") Trying to find something with 4 lights switches is hard!

The house I live in has all the old push button light switch covers and they are all brass, so I leave them be. I've painted pictures on the plain plastic ones before though.

I have seen some people who cover their switch covers in fabric or wallpaper that goes with the rest of the decor in the room and then buy a clear cover that protects it.

That's all I've got.

I have lightswitch covers with cats on them! I bought them at Lowe's. I have them all over my house. There are some good dealers in custom switchplates on the net, too.

No decorative covers here. I just use what was put there in the first place which is the plain white ones.
