Right here! :)
I hope you are all having a great Chrismastime, and had lots of good food and nice gifts...

Those of you that have known about my computer problems, that have been endless the last year or so, might think my most recent "computer problem" funny

The computer is fine now! (its a laptop).
But....I had temporarily cordless adsl, that my s/o´s coworker wanted us to try untill his daughter had her new home and computer ready. Of course I LOVED the cordless internet!!! Before the most recent problems I had adsl, (not cordless though), but now the setup for that is not working or something is wrong....

So....I was back to dial up connection, wich was a bummer, since it´s slow and the phone line is busy.
Then came the new thing....after we brought back the cordless connection, the computer phone cord was not working anymore, (someone might have stepped on the end of it or something).

So, if I want to stay online now, I have to borrow the short phone cord from the phone, and sit on the floor in the hall!

There I cant have the laptop connected to electricity, so my limitations are when I run out of battery, or when my behind gets numb, or my knees get to crooked!

I guess this is a good thing to save the phone bill! And I might do something around the house!

Or...I can just get used to this!

Maybe some kind soul could buy you a longer cord? Although I guess if I had that I would get caught up on my housework quicker....sigh. Glad you are up and running again though, even if it isn't as much as you would like. Good Luck :-)

Oooo, Reykjavik! My husband surprised me with a trip there several years ago - in the middle of February (it was for my birthday). Froze various bits off at different times but we really enjoyed ourselves. Hopefully we'll make it back there in the next few years. I'd really like to be there for a New Year's Eve - we hear the fireworks are outstanding

It´s not that the cord would cost too much, it´s more that we never remember to pick one up. This "happened" a little bit before Christmas, and there were so many other things to do, so "tomorrow" is alway the best day to pick it up
Maybe I will get around to it tomorrow!

Yes! Now I know! It must have been one of those vikings that ruined my long cord, or even that adsl connection! They have no idea how to work aroud all this technical stuff!!!

If I get to one of them, I will cut a hole in his sheepskin vest!

Great to meet someone here at the site who has been to Iceland! I really hope you´ll come here again! It would be great to meet you, and I´d be happy to show you around, or whatever you´d want help with or whatever.

I would recoment July, since then you would get all the bright nights, and the summer "warmth", especially if you want to travel around. I guess it´s fun beeing here at newyears, I have been in the US over the newyears twice, and that was not fun AT ALL! No fireworks, the new year just came as any other day....but I didnt know anybody local, so I didnt go to any parties, I guess that would have been fun.
A few years ago, when I was at the University, I met some people form the US, who came to stay here a week around the new year, since apparently it was the "second (or third) hip place to be at newyears"! They really liked their stay, and were laughing at it, that since they had been partying a lot, and sleeping late, they had been here for days, and never seen the daylight
At this time of year we only have daylight a few hours a day, so when staying up long into the night, it´s easy to miss
