Thinning hair above brow and URI

Cissa has been sick with a URI for well over a week now. I seem to think the hair above her eyes is thinning (as does my daughter.) I keep her eyes clean, but she grooms them herself. Is it likely that it's thinning from grooming, or is there another cause of hair thinning in that area?

Just about every cat I know has thinner hair above the eye between the ear and eye. Is that what you mean? Or sometimes the hair RIGHT above Zoey or Saki's eye gets thin. I think its from when they rough house and kick each other's face with their back paws lol. But that shouldnt have anything to do with URI.

Sometimes when a cat's hair is thinning at a noticeable rate above the eyes, it is an early sign of hyperthryodism. Just something to keep in mind- it isn't always "normal" for cats to have thinning hair above their eyeline-
