That just makes me ill! Just because you might be able to afford that tiger, doesn't mean you are qualified to own one!

That was my first thought as well. I have a friend who has been talking about getting a Bengal for quite some time now. I know they are absolutely beautiful, but I also know that there is a lot more to it than that. I have known people who spend thousands on cats or dogs because they are "exotic" & "just so pretty". For those who have the space and the knowledge to care for them, I have no problem with it.
However,In my opinion, my friend just does not have what is necessary to care for one of these, and it worries/bothers me that he will buy one
. There are people who pay so much money for these babies, simply because they "look pretty". So many cats out there need homes so desperately. This friend of mine just does not have the resources to care for a Bengal.

I am definitely NOT against people who have these beautiful cats. If one has the continuous resources to care for them, then I think it's wonderful. I just don't think it's something to jump into without knowing all the facts, which HE DOESN'T (sorry, I had to vent) They are not decorations.

ohh.. i know that i couldnt take care of a cat like that... it is just soo beautiful.. i don't SERIOUSLY want it...

i also think that it is insane that it is at such a low price... someone who doesnt know anything about cats at all could just purchase that for the reason of.. no one else has one.. or somethin like that..

that is sooooo sad, i hate to see beautiful majestic creatures like that in cages when the free population of them is declining so rapidly all because some idiot who as a little money wants one for a pet!!!!
i mean what the heck is he going to do with it when it gets bigger and is no longer a cute little fuzzy baby and is hungry and aggresive...and wat if it turns on them or escapes? what are they gonna do then kill it?!!
!thats sooo horible...
i feel so bad for them....

i totally agree... she does not need to be in a house.. she needs to be out.. in the jungle or something like that.. she need to live the normal tiger life. no person could possibly handle a kitty like this.. they are soo differnt.. and, will do unexpected things.. and, they EAT MEAT! so, who knows what their prey would be?
