|That just makes me ill! Just because you might be able to afford that tiger, doesn't mean you are qualified to own one!
That was my first thought as well. I have a friend who has been talking about getting a Bengal for quite some time now. I know they are absolutely beautiful, but I also know that there is a lot more to it than that. I have known people who spend thousands on cats or dogs because they are "exotic" & "just so pretty". For those who have the space and the knowledge to care for them, I have no problem with it.
However,In my opinion, my friend just does not
have what is necessary to care for one of these, and it worries/bothers me that he will buy one
. There are people who pay so much money for these babies, simply because they "look pretty". So many cats out there need homes so desperately. This friend of mine just does not have the resources to care for a Bengal.
I am definitely NOT against people who have these beautiful cats. If one has the continuous resources to care for them, then I think it's wonderful. I just don't think it's something to jump into without knowing all the facts, which HE DOESN'T
(sorry, I had to vent) They are not decorations.
