Gotta vent a bit

I just got up and noticed that someone took the SMOKE DETECTER off the wall and removed the battery. They called another friend at 6am and asked him to bring over doughnuts. This person came and went while I was still asleep. Every time my son has any friend over they just go stupid. I've found numbers dialed on my cell phone that ended up being porn numbers, they have ripped branches off saplings in the yard, ripped boards off the fence, ripped the panal out of a door because they were locked out, every time there is something. I know they pulled the smoke detecter as I JUST checked the detecter when Kev gave us a reminder. Now everyone is saying that they didn't do it. AAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH. I just hate this. I hate people that lie! I need to call his mom and let her know what he has been up to. I hate having to call moms. I'm going to have to let her know her son is no longer welcome here. That also sucks. I have to ask this particular child to do his chores ten times over and still they don't get done. He is 14 and bi-polar and refuses to take him meds and it's going to put me in a hospital. I just can't take the asking and begging and yelling and his threats and his destroying things. We have no money for gifts this year and I just know there will be a scene about this too. They know how tight things have been and we have explained it to them, but they keep pointing things out like we can afford to get them. I'm so stressed out and there is nothing I can do to resolve it right now. I try to do little things for the kids like allowing a sleep over and they just go berserk.

Any time you need to chat, just PM me. I have had serious bouts of depression and know how horrible the holidays can be when you are blue. Remember we are always here for you to vent.

Oh Teresa, that is not fair on you. Can you arrange for respite care for your 14 year old son, whenever you need a break?

Please, if you need to vent, you can do so or send me a PM. You have friends here who care and love you.

Perhaps you can tell the kids that unless they clean up their acts, no more sleepovers. Can you put a password on your cellphone so that no one else accesses it, only you?

Oh I'm sorry you've had a rough day. I don't know what advice to give, apart from what has been said above sounds like good advice to me. And just to reiterate what others have said - any time you need to vent - we're here and if you want to PM me - feel free to.

Try and have a good Christmastime.

Kids go figure, I know why God made Mothers under 40, I was a Grandmother at 40 and then the cycle just repeats itself My yougest daughter is 37 and my oldest Grandaughter is 17, I guess we just have to grin and bear it, and hope we live through it all, and let me tell you its like nobody wants us to REALLY be Happy when that's all we really want, someone is alway's throwing another match in,,, Just take alot of deep breaths and don't sweat the small stuff or there won't be much left of you, pick your battles...The worst things that is, and try and have a Great Day somehow

I totally agree with Kellye, respite care would help make things a little easier for you.

Teresa, I don't know what your religious beliefs are or if you even have any, but just remember that all things happen for a reason, and God does not give us more than we can bare. So I know that you DO have the strength to deal with all the difficulties in your life right now.

I hope things get better for you and your family soon!

Thanks guys, you always have good solid advice. This is my 3rd child diagnosed with bi-polar. My youngest is 6 and all this stress causes him to act out too. He keeps asking why we let his brother live with us. What do you do when one child is disrupting everyones lives with drama on a daily basis? Trouble seems to stalk my 14 year old. Just sending him to catch the dog that escaped got him shot 3 times with an air gun. The kids that shot him were never caught. I think he knew them but won't say who they were to the police. He had bruises for weeks after. He was removed from middle school for his own safety. He wasn't allowed to attend school the last weeks of school last year and they sent him on to high school even with over 50% of his grades F's. I'm just so tired and look forward to him spending more time with his father. He hasn't has a weekend with his dad for over 4 years and I'm sure this is part of why he acts out.

damn, i feel sorry for you i remembre on my 14th bday party these bunch of teenagers trashed my party.
My mum forgot and left a spray can outside from painting my skirt for a drama play and they (the kids) took it and graffited the whole street down to the park and into the primary school. I was really lucky that the spray paint came off when it was raining.

i Hope your kid doesnt get upto more trouble!!
