i knew this guy. He was a friend of mine in high school.

My eyes are swollen, from crying all last night
. The man in the story, Darrell Parris, was a close friend of mine in high school. We even had pictures taken together. When I saw this story on the news last night, I was devastated!!

This just makes me wonder... you think you have a general idea about a person. Arent you supposed to get a gut feeling about someone when there isnt something right about them? This is NOT the guy I remember!!!

Don't be too quick to judge. Once I had to testify in court for a father who was being accused of child abuse. I cared for the baby in the hospital and the mother's actions while there were suspicious. It turns out that the mother had done it and the father really did just find the baby. So wait before you decide that he is guilty. Of course, he may be, but at this point you just don't know. Becky

It's just hard not to, because, as it turns out.. the guy is a convicted sex offender, and has a long list of convictions.

That poor little baby!

That is just so horrible. I have friends who work in hospitals. Parents come in all the time bringing obviously battered children - and the parents say one of three things:

1. The kid fell down the stairs (yeah right - and defied gravity by hitting the wall several times at high force every step of the way).

2. The kid fell off their bicycle (it's a miracle - there is not one abrasion, just plenty of bruises and broken bones).

3. I heard all this noise - when I came in to look, that's how I found the kid. (Whatever !)

Those poor children, their suffering is over.

I'd be horrified, too, to read such a report about somebody I'd once been close to. I'm sorry this has ruined your holiday season. That poor little boy - it sounds as if he were born with very "poor cards".

"It was great," she said. "It was hard though. I wasn't used to having kids in my home. You know - diapers and bottles and how do you mix formula again?"

This does not please me at all what the mother said.

But it doesnt make sense?
If the mother wasnt home? and she hadnt had kids there for a long time?? what does that mean???
I wouldnt believe everything in this story.

The boy, was born meth addicted and immediately after his birth was taken into state custody with his twin sister The boy went back to his mom 2 months ago. The twin girl is still in state custody as well as a 2 y/o brother.

He was home alone at the time with the boy. Mom was out of the house at the time when the boy died.

Such a sad story, my heart aches, when I hear these kinds of stories, I just want to swoop down and take all the kids, (my husband deals with issues with stuff like this in his job, and when he comes home and tells me, I just cry). My prayers are with the child.
