Anyone see this article? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6747736/

(you have to scroll down the page to see it). It's about a woman who paid $50,000 for a kitten that was cloned from her cat that died.

My opinion? What a huge amount of money to "make" a kitten whom she thinks is her old cat. It's not. No amount of DNA will ever make it so.

Absolutely. You would be surprised how many people believe that cloning makes a perfect replica of the donor, complete with memories, making it possible to "live forever". Actually, a clone is best described as being an identical twin that just happened to be born ___ years later. It is important that we do what we can to get correct information about cloning and all scientific research/information to the general public, in order to avoid misunderstanding and ignorance.
