Did you ever lay awake on Christmas eve when you were little, listening for Santa's reindeers on your roof, stare out your window, hoping to catch a glimpse of Santa?? The excitement used to be so much, I could hardly stand it. I tried to go to sleep, I really did. I was told that Santa wouldn't come to our house unless all the children were sound asleep.........

Aw, I never did that. I DID creep down in the middle of the night to see what my parents got me... I figured it out fairly quickly.

AND it's still hard for me to sleep in on Christmas Day... presents!

Oh yeah, definitely did that. When I was very young, my parents could convince me that airplane lights were rudolf and the reindeer

And when I got older and only believe in Santa as in the spirit of x-mas, I would still lay awake and strain to listen to my parents putting out the gifts... but I never left my room. I loved the excitement of waiting! (still do...)

Ohhhh, YES!!! I used to leave carrots for Santa's reindeer and hope that would mean they'd stick around longer to munch on them!

Honestly, I rarely got any sleep on Christmas eve, I was so excited!

Used to??? I still look up in the sky on Christmas Eve (told you I was hopeless .Susie). I still see Rudolph's nose, too. Everyone tried to spoil it for me by telling me it was the blinking red light of the radio tower, but I don't believe them!

I would sit and listen for hours. My little brother had it real lucky as we lived in a house with a fireplace and my mom would make little foot prints coming from the ashes. She also would add the tincel to the tree after we went to sleep and bring out the presents that had been hidden so the morning was really magical.

I remember being so excited, and somehow always really tired Christmas eve. I do remember getting up between 5 and 6 am, wondering why my parents weren't so excited to see what santa brought us. Once I had a little brother, I'd send him to wake up our parents... he was a little cute guy and could get away with it

I do miss those days. I miss the stockings stuffed with wierd little things, and candy.

I pretty much always knew that santa wasn't there, but I would fall asleep and then get up around 11 or so and hide in our den waiting for "Santa" to fill my stocking so I could look through it. After about 5 years of doing this I found out that my stocking was filled right after I went to bed. I never knew it was filled because I would wait and watch, never saw someone fill it and would go to bed, LOL. Oh well!

My sister and I shared a bedroom when we were small. We used to get so excited that we would wake up at about
2 a.m. on Christmas morning and couldn't understand why that wasn't an acceptable time to start opening our presents.
