Baking with non-stick foil

So I'm thinking of making some cookies tomorrow and I was wondering, do any of you know whether you can bake on that non-stick aluminum foil? I usually cover the cookie sheet with it if I need to heat something up, or if I'm making chicken, but I don't know if baked things will turn out properly if I use it.

I've never used non-stick foil -- wasn't even aware of it. In situations like that I use parchment. It's great, and reusable.

But of course Rigel! They will be Viennese Crescents, which are made with ground up walnuts--we always made them every year when I was a little girl, but this will be my first time making them by myself. I hope you don't mind if they get a little burnt!

Hmm, parchment--we've got some of that here. I didn't think of using it though. My bf's really the culinary expert here--I don't know what half the stuff in our kitchen is for.

I have used it and it usually works just fine, it the receipe calls for "greased" cookie sheet, you can spray the foil with pam too....

I discovered "nonstick" foil about three years ago, and love it, especially when I'm baking cookies. I don't grease it, even if the recipe calls for a "greased cookie sheet".

Well, I just finished making them and I opted for the foil...AND I greased it.
My theory was there was already a half pound of butter in the cookie dough, so greased cookie sheets weren't going to make that much of a difference.

I've never used the non-stick foil I use a sheet called a sil-pat
nothing sticks to it.

Those are soooo expensive, but I hear they are wonderful! Even those tv chefs use them to make their chocolates on.

yes i use foil too to bake my cookies, chips and pizza it turns out great and i never have to grease.
