Today management had a nice holiday bagel breakfast for us. Everyone in the department went and they had bagels, cream cheese, jam, juice, coffee, tea and mimosas (champagne in orange juice). It was a lovely hour of socializing (and eating). Often we feel unappreciated at work and it is a nice touch during the holidays that they showed that they care.

What a nice thing to do. Our office landlord did something similar. They had breakfast set up down in the lobby with scrambled eggs, sausages, pancakes, hash browns and various breads and butter and coffee. They served the coffee in these lovely big mugs and we got to keep the mug.

Our boss is taking us to a nice restaurant for lunch today, so I should be totally stuffed by tonight. Sure hope hubby isn't hungry because I won't want to be cooking tonight.

Our boss is taking us out for lunch today but whoopee, no one really likes him, so we'd rather skip it!!

How nice...sounds wonderful. I remember I used to hate "nurses appreciation day" because all they did was have pizza and ice cream down in the cafeteria...IF...you could get to it. On my unit you couldn't be guaranteed your breaks or even a meal, so it meant little to us.
