Google Holiday Doodle

You know how Google changes their banner when it's a special day? For example, today is the first day of winter, so they have two polar bears playing in the snow.

I like that Holiday Doodle feature. Do any of you pay attention to it as well? And wouldn't it be awesome to have the job of designing them?

They're great. Hubby's set up a folder on his machine where he saves them to. He's got a great collection of them now. Looking around the internet - he's not the only one that does this.

I've never heard of anyone saving them before, but I always make sure I check when I know it's a holiday of some sort. They're so cute and creative!

i see this words so many times under peoples post just like that other word i see (bump)
i must be really old here uh
cause im loss in a another world i guess

Blog is a shortened form of weblog and it refers to a sort of diary that is online. Bump is what you post when you want to bring a thread to the top of the active list (bump it to the top) again so that more people see it.
And I never noticed that Google had different logos for different days, I will have to keep track now. Becky

RockinRhonda, someone called the first blogs a weBLOG. Then, the letters 'w' and 'e' were dumped, so the word became blog. I don't know who did the breaking up, but we isn't happy.

I thought it was web log, a log or diary, like a ship's log. So web log became weblog became blog. Becky

I just had to post the link for the 'whole' story this week. The polar bears were making snowcones! They took the water hose, made the paint run, dipped their snowball in the paint (notice the paint on their fur) and then set up the stand. The rabbit is my favorite little critter. He's so happy in the last frame.
