I ordered Sasha's Christmas dinner (from Pat, natch!) and it arrived!!
He is so excited!!! I shook the Rabbit in front of him. He gets that topped with crumbled Chicken Whisker Smackers and then a teaspoon of Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia ice cream for dessert. His favorite. I think he told the entire neighborhood, even the dogs, because there sure are a lot of visitors on the back porch today!

What are your guys having for holiday dinner?

I haven't even planned OUR dinner yet! The puppies will get a little bit of what we fix ourselves. Our cats don't really care that much for the typical people food but we do have lots of cat treats around the house. Perhaps an extra helping of treats topped with a few licks of vanilla ice cream (from my bowl of course). I know, how boring!!

Wow I hadn't even thought of making something special for Baylee for dinner... yikes! I should take a trip to a feed store in town that was recommended to me and buy some Merrick's or something... I feel like such a bad meowmy!

I'm thinking of cracking open some PetGuard Premium Feast, and some of the Active Life I still have.

I know this will set all whiskers atrembling happily

They're having a whole chicken breast each (cut up in to bits). They usually have this for their Christmas dinner, they can never finish it all at once, so have to stagger off to the sofa for a lie down & digest before going back to finish it off.
The guinea pigs are getting a peach for their special dinner, and I have some sugar-free mints for the pony.

sid LOVES chicken, so he probably won't mind a bit of turkey for dinner... other than that, i may give him the whole can of wet food instead of a tablesppon of it with dry. other than that, i've been admonished not to give kitties people food, but my dad has been feeding his cats and dogs people food for YEARS and they're fine... so i figure, if he likes it, so be it! ^___^ merry christmas, ya'll. (humans and kitties alike)

They'll get a share of our dinner. There'll be roast chicken, broiled fresh fishies, and my roast pork servings (I don't like pork so I give it to them)

My cats will get some of the ham & turkey I am going to make. I have one cat who loves crackers (Ritz -- she turns her nose up to all others except for RITZ) so part of the appetizer tray will wind up with Dusty!

Cream from the coffee during dessert, goes to Snickers.

Same with the eggs & toast the next morning; he has a thing for toast.

They dissed the green bean casserole at Thanksgiving, so I don't think I'll try to give them any of that.

Sierra's tummy has been a little sensitive this week, so for Christmas dinner, she will be enjoying her Innova Lite with her Liv-A-Littles salmon treat for dessert! She will be dining gourmet with her new lovely elevated dish she received for Christmas!
Then, just before bed, Sierra will have a yummy bonito treat!
We'll have such fun!

People food! Jamie got a can of water-packed tuna for dinner last night (he prefers "people" tuna to "kitty" tuna), and Zsa Zsa got a can of water-packed sardines. I bought cans of shrimp for them for today's dinner, but then decided they'd both had enough salt last night, so they'll be getting the shrimp for New Year's dinner (Zsa Zsa in her new home, so Putzi, the resident cat, will also be getting a can). I wash the shrimp and sardines beforehand, but that doesn't work so well with the tuna, and they all seem to like the extra salt.

Well! After all the hype of Sasha's rabbit feast and the expected euphoria -- he hated it!
He did not appreciate me swapping food on him and refused it. So what made him happiest was his good ol' grilled chicken with a cube of Wildside salmon sprinkled on top.
Just goes to show ya! SASHA!!!

Well, we did Christmas dinner last night. We gave the ferals prime rib (yes, I did say prime rib), and our gang got fish/cheese treats (cats) and liver snacks (dogs). Tonight we serve the vanilla ice cream (just a little bit for each).

I'm so full from yesterday that I'm having a large slice of pie for dinner tonight - haven't made it out of the pajamas all day and I'm not about to cook a meal!

Hope everyone's day was grand!

*sigh* Part of the reason we chose to have ham for Christmas dinner is because Ophelia LOVES ham. Well, apparently not if we bake it here.
She licked the butter from where I had corn, but snubbed the cut up ham we put on the plate for her.

I totally understand Elizabeth. They just don't appreciate what we do for them for special occassions.

Oh no!! So sad!

Well I got home today after being away for a day and found that Baylee had been sick - looks to me like she ate too much at once and threw it back up. So no special feast for her, just some wet food.

The best intentions...
