Hello all, I just joined. I'm a proud owner of a rescued Persian named Louie. He was rescued from St. Louis that is how he got his name. The pet store was going to put him to sleep because he had a cleft pallette, so the vet where I worked took him and brought him bAck North and I became his momma. Hes a timid shy cat and likes to be alone and not around other animals except for the gp I had. They always played. Louies quite a character once he gets comfortable and I love to watch him.

Hi Louie's momma. I am very new to this forum. In fact you are the first person I have replied to. I am wondering can you give me anymore information on a cleft pallette. my little girl twinkle (siamese 11 months old) has just been diagnosed with a cleft pallette. The vet was telling me that cats don't normally survive with a cleft pallette, can you tell me the severity of Louie's pallette and what steps you took to help the situation? I am desperate.
