I think most of you probably know that Tibby is not the world's best traveller?!

Well, this morning we had to go to the vets for some top up boosters. My vet is at least 5 miles away, so I know that Tibby generally gets ill at the first corner.

I have been trying everything to help him to relax (Feliway Travel Spray, Rescue Remedy etc, etc) But today, we tried Travel Ease (we've tried them before, but they didn't have much effect) and he was BRILLIANT!!

Not a single problem! WooHoo! He even fell asleep on the way home!!

I had to tell you guys, as I am so excited that we may have solved Tibby's travel problem!! Especially as we are travelling to my parents' for Christmas!!

thats great news! my cats an ok traveller but we always encounter this poor old thing at the vets which throws up at every journey

i've been thinking about getting maverick a cat lead rather than using a cat cage for short car journeys but not too sure if she'd stay still enough in the the car....

Is Maverick an inside kitty? Both of mine are inside mainly, but go out on their leads and harnesses. I have often though about having them on a leash in the car, but I would be driving, so i'm not sure how good that would be?! If you try it, let me know how it goes!

Maybe if you provided a bed too, she might snuggle up and sleep?

yeah mavs an inside kitty, her choice thankfully. outside is a little cold and dirty for the princesses liking!

my boyfriend would be driving so i was just going to sit in the back and hold the leash. she's been ok before when shes been out of the cage and on my lap so i might give it a try.

maverick refuses to sleep on any sort of cat bed we have provided her with! my only hope to get her to snuggle and sleep would be to bring our lazy boy recliner or my double duvet!

shes going to the vet soon so i'll keep you posted. x

Don't worry, it has taken me over a year and hundreds of practice journeys (plus LOADS of excremement to get Tibby to have just one calm journey!

i took my kitty on a four hour ride home for christmas. i was sooo thankful she didnt get sick. ive learned from experience not to feed/water her for about 2 hrs before the trip. however, when i got her carrier to take her to the vet, she was so scared she was going on another long ride her BP was up lol
