We're all still here with you, Tia...any news? Still thinking happy, warm, don't be afraid and come home vibes to your lovey girl. I'm sure that she's okay, probably just afraid to come out. My thoughts are with you and her

... Thankyou guys. So far no news... is that good? We've almost ruled out her being under the house. No new kitty paw prints going in and out. We even had a fresh thin blanket of snow last night.

MyRage is being funny. Mystyc kinda is too, but I can see more in Rage. Last night when I went out to look around and listen MyRage actually shot out the door, off the back porch. I was going to close the door, but without a flashlight, and we have no light by that door... I coudln't see a thing, and when I opened it more to get more light, she ran back in. I don't think she liked the snow. She's not a dart outside cat. I had a half feeling that she wanted to go get her or something. She seemed so freaked to be out there, but intent on getting back in.

I went back out, alone, no feline help, with a flashlight, and looked around. Hubby went out, and looked under the house. No sign of a cat at all. There were a couple places he couldn't see. She could have been in those spots, but he said that he should have at least saw the tip of her tail or something. I've been listening closely too, and I haven't heard any sounds at all from under there.

I'm getting bummed. I wonder if I should have gone out roaming all over that night. It was so whindy, and was snowing. We walked around our yard, and didn't see her, when we saw the opening under the house... She always went under the house when ever she got outside at my parents property. I just assumed that was where she would be. We live on the edge of a bunch of fields. Those fields have cows now, and antelope all year 'round. There are also some buildings, like little shacks and stuff around. I haven't gone that far out, hubby did, and didn't see or hear her. I think I will crawl under the house today. I hate spiders and bugs and under houses ICK!! For my Myth though...

Myth baby please come back to mama. Mama misses her Mythypoo....

here's hoping it works out soon. If there are buildings in hte fields, could she have got shut in one? The only night when Dushka didn't make it home and I went calling for her all over the place, she rushed in at 7 the next morning, having been in my neighbour's cowshed. He said she streaked out when he opened up in the morning. Maybe there is somewhere she took shelter that hasn't been opened for a couple of days?

I'm so sorry Myth hasn't come home yet.

Tuxedokitties posted this site last month. www.catsinthebag.org

A woman in my town used the info she got from the site and was able to get her missing cat back! Her indoor-only kitty had been gone for 5 weeks. She lost some weight, but is otherwise ok. Give it a try.

All good thoughts and best wishes to you and Myth.

Thankyou for the link. I will check it out. There is a tiny chance she may have gotten into one of the sheds or what ever they are, but the owners of the land live in another town. They don't come here often, and they are the only ones who get in them. Our closest neighbor (same owners own his place, we share the same driveway... lol) doesn't get into any of them ever. He isn't hardly ever home. He works a lot. I haven't gotten to talk to him yet, he's up before us, and gone, and is in bed before we get off work.

Thankyou all
The links are very helpful too.

She's not under the house. Not in any of the buildings around. There was a sighting of a white cat running across the road(The very busy road.)
...
Other then that no other sightings.
I am calling to get Shade's spay set up today, then I will call the shelter to let them know her appointment is set up, and to see if they've seen Myth yet.

Luckily I'm very cam happy, so I have a pic of her that is about a month old. She's such a scardey skitty kitty.

The night she got out, it was windy... soooooooo windy. We had little bit of snow on the ground, a very light frosty covering. The next morning we got up there was another powdery covering of snow on the ground. This morning we found it had snowed about an inch or two. I'm happy for snow cuz of Christmas coming....... but what about my girl? What bad timing. Couldn't she be missing while it's warmer? NOT so cold. I am so scared for her.

My hubby is trying to prepair me for the worst. I understand that I have to be prepaired, but if I give up all hope... I don't want to give up all hope, it's only been 3 mornings now... It seems like forever to me. It's been a cold three nights, and we were so hopefull that she'd sheltered herself under the house. Hubby didn't see her the other night under there when he looked, and I was hoping she'd been in one of the few spots that he really couldn't check. Checked again, and I don't think she is in one of those spots, she would have come out for her food or water by now. Well.... food or ice. I've been trying to keep it kinda warm, but when I am at work...

I cried last night. MyRage is acting sad. She's acting kind of lovey, but in an odd way. I really can't explain it. Myth was a year old when I got Rage. Rage was closer with the humans as a kitten, but as she got older, Myth didn't pick on her so much, and they got close. Myth was never interested in playing with Rage, but since we've had Shade, Myth has been playing with her. Myth is a very important girl in my household. She's the cat that we talk about a lot. People don't believe that we have 4 cats, then they see a white streak, and... we called it a Myth sighting. Myth also loves to be brushed. Myth is the only girl who would sleep with us all night long. She always came into the room where I was and Meowed a greeting. She never greeted me without a meow. Myth is also the only cat that would come, and plop her fat little body between my arm and my body, so she was comfy and warm. I don't talk a lot about her here on the boards (I should have) But she's my own personal lover. Rage and Shade are wonderful cats, they just don't have the cuddly lovey warm spirit like Myth. Rage and Shade are more interesting cuz they are cute and little, and do funny stuff. Mystyc is just beautiful with an attitude. Myth... she was always more of a private girl. She visited me when everyone went to bed. She'd crawl on my lap and purrrrrr sooooo loudly, she had the loudest purrrr of them all. I miss her purrs.

I miss her white face, with the little grey 'monroe' mark by her nose. Her little butterfly grey patch on her shoulder, that when she sat down turned itno a heart. Her grey tabby striped tail.
I was going to post a pic.... I need to find another pic hosting place. I have been having problems with the new one I was usuing.

Thanks for listening. I just miss her. I so hope she is warm. I don't want her to be wanting anything. I have the day off so I can search a little more. I don't think I will be home all day. Funny... People wanna spend time with me today... go figure. lol...

My Myth E E Pooh.(don't ask, I have more silly names for her) lol

I don't wanna say it, but I have a horrible nasty scarey feeling in the pit of my stomache... When ever I get that feeling it's bad. Suddenly it got really strong and I saw my Myth in my mind. I hope it is just fear and sadness.

I hope so too. I loved hearing you talk about Myth - it brought tears to my eyes. I really really hope she's ok and finds her way back home soon. If people want to spend time with you - tell them that's great, you could do with some help looking for Myth!! If there wasn't an ocean between us I'd be there.

Good luck! Like you say it has only been 3 days. Although you don't like to think of your baby out there in the snow, kitties have a great big fur coat for a reason - let's hope Myth's is keeping her snuggly right now.

I'll keep sending vibes your way and big hugs to you too

Tia, I understand the bit about preparing for the worst, because I did the same thing. But please do not give up hope! I know it feels like an eternity, but it really has been just (I know, not a good word, but true) 3 days. I know how your heart feels, that's all too fresh for me, as well. I was devastated for several different reasons when my kitty went missing. I had such a strange mixture of feelings because she went missing on a Friday and I was planning on rehoming her somewhere the very next day! So the timing was impeccable, to say the least. But it really put a lot of things in perspective for me. Gypsy was incredibly loving to me. She sounds almost identical to Myth in personality. She was always coming to me when the house was quiet looking for love. She would always purr to her little hearts content, snuggling up with me. I know you miss her like crazy, and you're becoming frustrated and frightened. And I know that you fear the worst for her partially because of her personality. But her skittishness may work out to be a benefit for her. This was pointed out to me with Gypsy. This could be what is keeping her safely tucked away somewhere. I know, it's kind of double edged, because it could also be what is keeping her from coming home, but try to think of the positives. Please don't give up on your kitty. As I said before, two things to never underestimate, as easy as it may be, are your babies instincts and the power of this board's magic!!! We are all here for you, hoping/praying/wishing for your girl to come home. And none of us intend on giving up! Keep the faith, Tia, and remember that we're here for you if you have anything you want to say, no matter what it is. I shed several tears while my girl was missing. I thought for sure I'd never see her beautiful face again. I was wrong. I think you may be, as well
I pray that she comes home to you soon.

As for your neighbor that's never home, how about getting a picture of Myth and writing him a note about her? That way, if he did happen to see her at any time, he could let you know, and he'd also know what she looks like just in case.

Thankyou. Everyone around here is being so 'realistic' about the situation, and I am a dreamer and a believer. Myth is a tubby kitty, so she's got a little blubber on her as well.... I keep thinking of her fur and layer of fat, and hoping it's enough.

I enjoyed talking about Myth... felt guilty cuz I never did before very much, but she's a private kind of kitty, and with as shy as she is... I don't know. I felt a little closer to her as I was. I am pretty scared. I haven't seen her since before she got out.

Maybe for everyone who asks me what I want for my birthday, I will tell them I want help finding my Myth. For my birthday I want to cuddle and kiss my Myth.

My Myth-ina
