Wierd cat

My kitty will try to chew on my metal zipper on my sweater when I am holding him. He likes the taste of metal! He licks metal things all the time. Spoons that are clean, zippers, anything metal he can. I find it odd. Not worried about it but wondering. Anyone else's kitty do this?

yes! its the same sort of thing as licking plastic. at first i just thought she was licking the tuna of a spoon! unless shes missing something from her diet its not a probelm, jsut a bit strange!

I haven't had that happen, but Oliver licks walls and cabinets and I know why. My ex mother-in-law can't see very well. About 3 years ago she decided to juice oranges at our house and got orange juice and pulp all over the place. Oliver decided to help clean it up and he still licks surfaces.
