TNR is more effective in the winter months I believe because the cats are focused on surviving and eating and less on breeding and pregnancy and caring for kittens. Additionally, TNR groups want to catch more cats before the spring so that we will have fewer cats that will need to be spayed during the spring/summer and autumn months....we do spay pregnant cats.Are TNR efforts more successful in cold months because it's easier to catch the ferals or is it just luck?
