An odd question....(may be considered gross)

I notice that after Tousse and Bease were "wrestling" Tousse began to clean himself. Usually I don't look at him clean himself because of appearances of a certain nature I would rather not see. For some reason I looked today and there was....something in his private area. At first because of the color I thought he got litter there but it wasn't that. I am way too embarrased to ask my vet this and I know some of you will be like uck! So I will put the question down at the bottom of the entry.

Do cats ejaculate? Of course I know they do but is it like visible? I would appreciate all answers, especially those that begin with "No" or "No, that was just puss and Tousse has a raging uti, even though he just seen a vet less than a month ago."

It could be that...usually if they do there's not much to see though.

If you are concerned with what you saw, or if you notice any behaviorial patterns that suggest UTI then contact your vet. Embarrassment should always take second place to health.

Probably just one excited little kitty IMO though.

N won't always totally curb the behavior. As the organs removed are only part of the entire plumbing system.

But your cats will not be in danger of prodcing a bunch of little kittes. LOL.
100% Agreed

I just wanted to make sure that it was understood that neutering doesn't make the entire system non-functional.

I am going to ask. But how? What do I say, "Excuse me, Doctor so and so umm my kitty was "wrestling" with my other kitty and I notice a substance on my male kitten's neither regions after they finished "wrestling"?"

I am so not trying to be funny but I have no idea what to say. My other vet retired and I dont know the new vet from Adam. This is going to be the perfect introduction.

Usually I freak out if I think Tousse is sick, but I am almost 99.9898% he is not sick. He had a fecal and urine analysis not even a month ago. He is eliminating well and has had no accidents.

Dr. XXX I noticed that Tousse was wrestling with my other kitty, and when he stopped, I noticed that he was grooming himself, but I also noticed something that I'd not seen before. He didn't seem hurt or anything, but it looked like he had some kind of bodily fluid on himself. I feel kinda silly asking this, but is this normal?

That sounds perfect to me. Even though you may be alittle uncomfortable asking, it's better than the uncomfortable feeling you have when you think something could possibly be wrong with the kitty

Thanks guys! I am going to use what you said verbatim! LOL! I am going to print it out and read it when I take Tousse to see the vet.
Thanks again guys.

And Shawn,

Your vet will have heard all of these questions before too and is more than familiar with the things that may make us feel squeamish or embarassed:-) so don't worry. The only 'bad' question is the one that didn't get asked and should have:-).
