I remember that snow storm two years ago at Christmas, it was cool, we lost power for a short time. I had my mom at my house for Christmas that year, I am glad that I did as it was her last. I will always remember that Christmas as I sat around talking with my mom while we watched the candles flicker, she thought it was great, as she was a big fan of snow storms. So hopefully we will have a white christmas again this year.

The forecast shows the following:

Of course, my luck, looks like we're most likely getting snow right before Christmas Eve and Christmas day, then not on either days, and then it will start again right after Christmas day!
Oh goodness, that stinks! Hopefully the snow we are *supposed* to get right before the holiday will stay rather than melt so it will be white!!!
Yikes! We're heading south, as usual (Mississippi). But it seem's they'll be having a cold snap too - but no snow, though.

Probably not!
We don't have any snow right now, and there is only about a 20% chance of snow every day from now until Christmas.

BTW, if anyone thinks it's cold where they live, just look at the weather conditions we're putting up with in southern MN right now. There's a cold front going through my area, this morning when I went to work it was 30 degrees above zero.

That north wind is

10°F
Fair Feels Like
-9°F

UV Index: 0 Low
Dew Point: 1°F
Humidity: 61%
Visibility: 10.0 miles
Pressure: 30.19 inches and rising
Wind: From the North at 23 gusting to 29 mph

No, because last winter when it snowed here, I got snowed in at home and hub was almost snowed in at work, and to top that off, we didn't have water or power for 4 days....ugh.....snow is pretty, but the city isn't equipped to deal with much of it, but for the rest of you snow bunnies(or should I say kitties?) enjoy!

special weather statement for my area:
AT THIS TIME... ONE TO TWO INCHES OF SNOW LOOKS LIKELY FOR THE REGION SUNDAY NIGHT INTO MONDAY. THE TWIN FORKS OF LONG ISLAND AND EASTERN CONNECTICUT WILL BE CLOSER TO AVAILABLE MOISTURE... SO 2 TO LOCALLY 4 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE THERE. ANY STEADY LIGHT SNOW WILL BECOME MORE SHOWERY IN NATURE LATE MONDAY MORNING... THEN END BY EVENING.

Problem is, it's them supposed to warm up a bit in the middle of the week. All snow might melt before x-mas

a white christmas? it just would not be christmas here if it was not 85F+

I have had a white christmas before when I was travelling overseas which was great - and that photo by Kass certainly makes a white chrstmas look exciting - but beers outside by the pool in shorts & a t-shirt is what us Aussie like on christmas day

It doesn't look like we're going to get a white Christmas. Right now they're calling for 100% chance of rain Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

I would love a white Christmas... that's the only time I want to see snow. I'd be happy if it would snow Christmas Eve and stay through 'til Boxing Day, then melt.

Yes, I'm certain to have one (I'll be in Edmonton, AB for Xmas and they've had snow since October I think!
), but I don't want one, no - I hate snow!

I see Lacey has already posted the forecast for our area and a white Christmas is possible. I will take a few flurries, but as the shoveler in this household - no large accumulations! I would love to experience a Christmas where I don't have to wear a heavy coat!

As for New Year's Eve, It better be nice because I'm due to be one of the groups participating in First Night (a non-alocholic celebration of the arts). Then we are to drive up New Year's Day to my niece's. I absolutely HATE driving in snow. Just look at my driver's side running board to see why...

We got snow today (not even an inch), and are supposed to get more on Wednesday. Unfortunately, the weather forecast calls for rain on Thursday, so I guess we won't have a White Christmas.

It's snowing here now and I'm sooooo excited!!
I'm going to go take a walk very shortly. I'm not sure about Christmas though, I think I heard snow flurries possible. We did have a white Christmas two years ago and it was very nice.
