We have had a white Christmas 1-2 times in GA ever since I cam remember. The last one was in 1989. I loved it because that was the last Christmas that my twin sister was alive. She got ot have a white Christmas, for her last one.

I usually go to VA and have had 2 white Christmases in the past 3 years.
All I care about is being with the people I love. That is what makes my Christmas happy.

I was stunned to find about half a dozen white or very light grey hairs on my head this afternoon..... so it looks as though I am starting to get snow on my peaks for sure. Next year and at the rate I am going, will be a small white slope for chris to ski on!!!!! Mind you, I have a head that is 50 / 50 hair and lack of it, so if I go outside with a wet head, I will have a great ice skating rink up there....
As far as the real stuff is concerned, well - we have cold winds from the north coming down this week, so chances are very high.
On a serious note, it did not snow in Leeds on xmas day for about 20 plus years. The year Christopher was born, I was feeding him (born sept) and looking outside on xmas day when it started... it was like a mini miracle.....

Actually in 1989 it snowed here in Florida! I remember that. We had snow and ice actually stayed on the ground for a couple of days. The whole city shut down because we don't know what to do in the snow
Once they opened the bridges they only let 1 car across at a time. It was so neat, I was in 5th grade at the time. Thats the only time I ever remember it snowing here, other than a flurry or 2.

Movin' on up!
In my 47 years, Tucson has a white Christmas ONCE - in 1987. Russ woke me up, at 6 a.m., to look at SNOW. Lucklily for him, he was holding a cup of coffee and and already lit cigarette, for me.

I'll always remember that Christmas, though - it was Russ' last one.

(On a side note: in 1999, we had snow on EASTER
)

We're expecting snow tomorrow (not the first of the year), and possibly Monday. Since precipitation seems to go on for about a week in this area, it's quite possible.

They may have one up in the mountains, but not down here! And we don't really want a white or wet one since we'll be moving. But my kids would love to have snow.

Well, it all depends on if we get any snow on Monday and if so, if it doesn't melt before Saturday. It's iffy.

Two years ago, there was a snowstorm on Christmas. That was really cool.

I sure hope so! I have never lived where it snows so I am extremely excited and hope that we get snow on Christmas!

I think this pic was taken a week ago, but yes we will have a white Christmas. It still looks the same outside my window now and we're expecting some light flurries over the next few days.

That is so pretty Russian Blue. I wish we could have a White Christmas where I live. That snow you have doesn't look very deep though. I hope it doesn't melt away.

I really hope that we have a white Christmas here in Evansville this year!!!
The forecast shows the following:

Of course, my luck, looks like we're most likely getting snow right before Christmas Eve and Christmas day, then not on either days, and then it will start again right after Christmas day!
Oh goodness, that stinks! Hopefully the snow we are *supposed* to get right before the holiday will stay rather than melt so it will be white!!!

Highly unlikely. What we've got at the moment is...

Saturday:
Cloudy with showers. High 51F. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 50%.
Saturday night:
Rain showers ending this evening with mostly cloudy conditions overnight. Low near 45F. Winds ESE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50%.

...and we're set for similar temperatures for the next ten days, with the addition of some sun, starting on Monday and increasing through Friday, and a return to showers on Christmas day.

Suits me fine. White Christmases are pretty, but snow is a worse four-letter word than rain, in my book. You don't have to shovel rain. I'm such a grinch about snow

I would LOVE to have a white Christmas but the odds are probably better that I'll win the lottery!
The last time it snowed in Louisiana I was a little girl and it was only enough to make snow-slushy balls. It was nasty but sooooo exciting!!!

No, there will never be a white Christmas here in Miami. It's sad because I have never seen snow before.
