Ok..hubby and I took a much needed holiday to Bath this week. We had a good time, and I thought I would share some pictures! The best one is at the end...we stayed at a B&B, and we had a "vacation" kitty! This sweet girl lives at the house we were staying at and visited us at night...she is just lovely!

My brother did his masters at Bath uni. I recall going down there but it seemed as soon as I got into the uni bar with them, I recall very little else. Drunken hazes followed by long trips home with rock thumping headaches and feelings that I was going to be ill, and frequently was!

Holly is adorable! Too bad you couldn't sneak her in your luggage along with the soap

Thats amazing if not incredible, every hotel I have stayed at, some chap called Gideon has already been there and left a bible. You goto one place I have not stayed in, you open the drawer looking for the book and voila - theres a cat. Now why has that never happened to me?????

I am pleased you all like the pictures! I have loads more, but some didn't come out so good, and they tend to get redundant (an old chuch here, a bridge there...you get the idea) My husband and I go crazy with the camera when we go out. We are starting a church/abbey/minster collection, as we seem to have a LOT of pictures of those. We are going to frame them around the house.
Anyways, we enjoyed Bath, but I have to admit I was in LOVE with York. I would move there in a heartbeat. I cried when we left...how sad is that? That is some place I cannot wait to go back to!

You try living 20 miles from the place - had to go there every weekend until my grandparents died and I got to hate the place. Full of tourists with cameras looking up and stopping. Also birds everywhere, however, its old, goes back to Roman times and I wish that they would have just carried on Rom-in straight up the A64. Best thing to come out of York is the A64 back to Leeds!!!!! If anyone is reading though, look up such places on the www as York Minster, The Shambles, the Roman wall that surrounds the place. The river is ok I guess, the street markets are nice, its pretty at xmas, and everyone rides push bikes.....and they dont serve Old Peculiar that much in the pubs.
Nahh - give me Toronto or somewhere warm, Nice, Monaco anytime......

It never happens to you because you keep opening the top drawer and finding a bible. Maybe next time you could try opening the second drawer instead?

Sarah, absolutely fantastic pictures, especially the last one!

At the kitty's beck and call
Aww great pictures. I'm glad you had a good weekend - Holly is soo cute!

The Romans camped round our way for a while too - many artefacts were found just under the grass in my primary school playing field, and a couple of weeks ago another hoard of early roman coins were found in a field about 2 1/2 miles from us.
