"For you there'll be no more crying...
For you the sun will be shining....("Songbird" by Christine McVie, Fleetwood Mac).

In the past month 4 of my kittens have passed on to the Rainbow Bridge.
It will be a sad holiday season at my house this year.

On a good note...JackieChan's mother, Miss Kitty, has been spayed and so has Jade2's mother, Zoey. There will be no more sick kittens born from them. I am thankful for that. Jade2 was the little kitten who was having seizures of some kind. I took her to the vet and he said that without testing that it would not be possible to know for sure what was causing the seizures. He got to see the very end of one of her seizures as I rushed her in to his office and paid extra to have her seen as an emergency. He put her on Phenobarbitol and wanted to see her back in his office in 2 weeks. She didn't make it.
She just stopped eating one day and was gone the next. I am thankful that it was fast. And I am thankful that I was there for her.

I am thankful that I had each of them in my life. I learned a lot from each of them I got a lot of love from them too and I gave a lot to them. The time I had with them was bittersweet. At times it was hard and heartbreaking but I wouldn't give it up for anything in the world. They are in a better place and happy and whole and healthy again. I honestly don't want any more kittens though and am working diligently to attain that goal.
Mrs. Black goes to be spayed on Sunday of this week..Dec. 19. Here is hoping and praying they will do her this time. This will be my 3rd attempt. The first time she had a bit of a runny nose and the second time she was lactating and consequently she had another litter.
(3 of 5 of those kittens died. I think she is too old.)

Goodbye sweet angels. Thank you so much for your sweetness and light. I love you and I will miss you.

You have been though a heartbreaking couple of months. It is so hard to watch them go after doing everything you can. Sometimes it is just meant. They knew they were loved even in the few weeks they were with you and your family. They are in a good andhappy place now.
Thinking of you

oh my friend you have been through such an overwhelming few months
but you continue on and provide only the best for these beautiful babies that find themselves on your doorstep - you certainly are an angel to them

I am so sorry to hear of the loss that you have just experienced - all in such a short time - but now they are playing happily at the RB with all the others and awaiting the day until you can all meet again

RIP sweet angels

Nan,

You have lost a great number of cats in the time you have joined us here in the forums. Anyone who finds themselves losing such a great number of cats, needs to think about their program of care and find out where it lacking.

If you need help reducing your numbers, there are organizations in your state that will help you. Even a veterinarian would help you figure out what is going wrong and where it is going wrong at. I know that your heart is in the right place, but clearly you have reached a point where adequate care seems to be out of reach.
