when i first put up the x-mas tree, sara wouldnt go near it...then...
me and my hubby came home today to see the branches lopsided where she had climbed up and made herself a nice bed... thank god she doesnt weigh enough yet to topple the thing over.... no amount of pet-stay-away spray is working, oh well, i figured she wouldnt be afraid of it for long... now i have to really get the squirt bottle after her to get her to leave the ornaments and stuff alone...

LOL!!!!...Mabby did the same thing to ours.....shes just a kitten so not too much damage was caused....though i have to say none of my cats have ever been repeled by that cat away stuff...If anything they have been more interested at what I sprayed arounf the tree..I gave up after a day or 2...ecspecially when mabby was playing with the trees water...lol

Texas soon to be moving far away :-(
I placed the christmas lights on the front of the tree not going around it. I also bent the branches back on the orniments string so they cant knock em down and I tied the tree to the ceiling with a shoe string. Candy canes well they knockem down and eat em.

All kitty safe. The branches are bent no matter what. i have a fake tree.

I also have a water bottle handy because Milo is either climbing the tree or chewing on the branches after which he throws up a bunch of the needles!
The tree (artificial) is brand new this year so I hope it holds up and is ok for next year!

We aren't putting up a tree with a 6mo old kitten in the house. She climbs curtains (just like her siblings). She digs in my plants (Just like her siblings). She is a terror, I've never had such a terror kitten in all my days (I've raised 3 kittens now, this is our 4th) OMG... I love her though. Her personality makes up for all the trouble she causes.

Maybe next year we will put up a tree, a year and a half, she should be more settled.

None of my babies (16 week old puppies OR 6 week old kittens) have gone near the tree or the big dogs or the big cats for that matter. I am stunned!
