when my friends were house sitting they kept forgetting his name (there are 38 other animals here) and they would go "idaho, idaho, come here" he got called ohio and michigan too for that week.

Besides my two boys, I have one betta Fish Named Izzy at my apartment.

Then at my parent's house I have six other fish that are collectively refered to as the fish. I'll be really glad when I move somewhere where I can have the large tank so all my pets can be together.

We have 3 dogs, 2 Cockatiels, 2 box turtles and tropical fish. I'm in the process of trying to trap a domestic bunny and a chicken.

I run an after-school program for animal care and we have toads, frogs, rats, mice, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, various fish, several types of snakes(11 in all), various lizards(13), parakeets(4), finches(4), hissing cockroaches, turtles(5), and a millipede. The Tarantulas(3) had to come home as one of the teachers is so phobic she was having nightmares just thinking about them being on the grounds.lol

At home I have 2 domestic short hair spayed female cats, 1 spayed female Persian, 2 whole male Persians, and 8 whole female Persians.

Anyone out there want to brush a cat????

Only kitties for me - I don't think rodents, birds or fish would be good around the cats, since they all love to 'hunt' and I live in a relatively small apartment, so it would be hard to keep them separate - I'm afraid the other animal(s) would be constantly harrassed by the cats. Also, many of these animals have fairly short lifespans, so I think it would be too hard on me emotionally to have them dying frequently (I'm such a baby!
). Which is too bad because I'd love a gerbil or a bunny or a tank full of fish (or, or, or, pretty much any animal
). I'd also love a small dog, and I'll probably get one eventually, but don't feel I'm able to devote all the time a dog needs right now. Any kind of 'farm animal' is out of the question, too (oh, how I'd love a horse!), since I live in an apartment in the middle of a major city (and don't have nearly enough money to board one).

At the kitty's beck and call
I voted other. We have Jacques the bantam rooster and his two girls Hettie and Lottie.

Jacques looking a bit scraggy after his moult - he thinks he looks much more handsome now all his feathers have grown back.
