My knee is literally killing me, it hurts so bad, hurts to move it. I don't feel good, I got so worn out just cleaning the litterboxes and taking the bag outside. I am hungry and do not feel like even moving to get food, let alone cook or pick up fast food. I can cry at the drop of a hat right now. I don't know if I will ever get a job, I want a job so bad. I want some income. We have no health insurance or coverage, my last bottle of Prozac got lost between California and Virginia.

I just want to cry and sleep...

Oh Meagan,
I recognize feeling that way...do you think you have a strained ligament in your knee? Or do you know what the problem is?
The rest sounds like all the stuff that goes with depression. Can you try a substitute until you can get another prescription for Prozac - such as Sam-e or St. Jon's Wort?

This is one of those days when you need to try to care for yourself as if "you" were a friend feeling this way, gently, with understanding, and one step at a time...after you rest your leg for a bit, plan a good balanced dinner for whichever diet plan you are following (and kick up the yummy factor to the max, it will help), keep the rest of day easy, maybe tuck into a favorite dvd, have a favorite tea while watching...

hoping you feel better,

Thank you, I have no friends, we just moved here from California 3 weeks ago. I can't stop crying over nothing either. I started crying when mom asked me what I wanted to eat. I think it is because of Mia, I don't know what to do. I can't help but think no one will want her because she needs to be an only cat and she is so shy, it would take work. She is fine with me, she gets comfortable if I am holding her. I don't know how she is with other people though...

Do you do yoga or meditation? I found that it helped when I was depressed!
Breathe deeply and empty your mind repeat positive assertations to yourself on each breath and it will help you have a bit of a clearer and more positive outlook.

What's happening to Mia - if you don't mind me asking?

Meagan are you hormonal?. And don't what ever you do start stuffing your face!, remember were on Anns weight loss blog!!.

Eat something with a nice warm drink but don't go overboard or you will feel worse.

try not to get upset because Mia will pick up on it.

It will get better, I promise. I moved away from my family and friends to move in with Jason (house prices are cheaper here) and was out of work for six months following the move. It's amazing the difference a year can make!
It's completely understandable that you're feeling a little lost at the moment. Just remember that you have people here to talk to when you're feeling down.

Under the cats, mostly.
OH meagan you poor thing! well I'd follow some of the advice that's been posted up here. If you take a hot bath, that'll help to ease the pain in your knee and relax you a bit. After that, put your feet up and chill out with a dvd or something really yummy. Who gives a stuff about a diet when they feel down? I say the diet can wait until tomorrow - I know that's just tough, but one day won't hurt. Get yourself something that's good fr you - I know you don't feel like moving sweetie, but once you get started it'll get easier. I know that feeling - where you just want to sleep and cry and do nothing else - but I've really got to keep on going because I have a little boy who depends on me. Cook something that you enjoy doing, something that you know will taste good at the end of it. It does become easier once you're got the momentum going. try St. Johns Wort like Pat n Alix has suggested. It is pretty good
I've signed up for a Dao Yin class (it's a branch of tai chi) and I've met a few people and started to feel a lot better within myself. Maybe you could find soemthing like that too? It's very good for the relaxation and the guy who takes our class really knows what he's talking about. It's all about Chinese medicine and the concept of "chi" and how to make yourself feel better. He heard me out when I explained what I'm suffering with, and he suggested different ways of relaxing using breathing techniques and the movement in the classes is not only good for you, but leaves you feeling pretty fantastic too. Give it a shot if there's somewhere near you. As for the job, hang in there beb, you will get something. What is for you won't pass you by - just keep your chin up because we're all behind you, all the way. You know where we are, night or day.

Thank you everyone. My knee has gotten worse, it was extremely painful last night when sleeping. I have had this happen before but on my other knee, the doctors couldn't find anything wrong (not that they tried). I have a knee brace that I am going to try out, unfortunately I can't think of any cardio workout that doesn't require use of your legs...

I have had a terrible knee problem for 2.5 years and have been having physiotherapy for it. If you would like, I will try to find some of the excercises for your knee?! (they are pretty passive so it won't damage you!)

Do you have any free weights? (the small dumbells?) If you do, hold one of a light weight and do a cycling motion with your arms, with your fingers facing eachother, but pointing down slightly. This is a good CV work out and strengthens and tones your arms and upper back. Make sure you sit with your back straight and away from the chair (so you don't whack your elbows on the back!)

Hope this is of some help and let me know if you would like some ideas to help with your knee!!

Sorry, friend. Try to think positive thoughts--'mind over matter' my sister always says.
Keep your chin up and your knee.

Thank you everyone.
Candie, my mental state is better, but physical is worse. My knee was extremely painful last night. Unfortunately our house is full of stairs, which means I am constantly trying to get up and down them. It takes twice as long to get up and down them, but my left butt muscle sure is getting a workout!
lol.
I had this same exact thing happen about 2-3 years back, nothing major caused it last time either, just walking. I was skinny when it happened last so it isn't my weight. It happened on my other knee though, nothing worked except codien to knock me out. I bought some epsom salts tonight, along with another knee brace (other one didn't fit), some knee relief medicine, and some benadryl to knock me out tonight. Ah I just hope it stops soon, I hate not being able to move very well (very hard to get out of the car).

Thanks again everyone, all your thoughts and vibes mean a lot to me, more then I can say.
